HUGE TIP for Pacific Standard chase: right around the corner from the bikes is a 4door cop car.....ditch the bikes!

which one are you talking about?

just a usual police cruiser or that empty riot van at that first road block?

At the first roadblock, next to the ramp, their will be an unlocked cop car or, if crowd control have failed miserably and triggered the swat team, a riot van

Neither of which are particularly helpful

Triggering the swat team, deliberately or otherwise, is never the best idea and while the riot van does offer some protection, you won't be able to lose the cops before getting into the boat

The best thing to do is take the bikes along a good off road route, like this one

Full video and breakdown linked in my sig

Or you could use a personal vehicle, kuruma, if you have access to the right apartments

Being clever on Deathmatches:

1.While in cover, try looking at your behind! you never know where the players will come from

2.Have Stealth on MAX,it makes you a hard target to see on the minimap

3.Have 2 different guns on each slot, one with the supressor and one without it

4.Try putting Prox.Mines on some places!

5.If you want to camp like an PRO,try going outside the deathmatch and hide on the mountains or in a bush

6.Try eating snacks to recover some lost health!

Tuner rims,: Whilst they are ugly, they actually increase the grip of your car. I have some on my Massacro Racecar & it's the fastest sports class car on the race I'm currently doing.

The Comet becomes driveable with tuner rims. Try it & see for yourselves.

Pick a track, learn it, get your best times & then try again having switched the rims. The difference in times isn't great, but the feel is noticeable.

must be subjective feeling as long as there is no evidence for it.

there is no evidence in the game files and neither by alot of objective testing by several experienced racers such as broughy.

the only difference for tires is that the off road tires handle bumps a little better.

all of the other wheel types make absolutely no difference at all.

You also heal more and quicker if you hold left trigger when putting snacks on. Easy way to get full stealth stand in garage press stick so you crouch, push both sticks inwards put a rubber band round sticks so your character is walking in circles leave for 30 mins, best way to get strength up do one hole of golf 3rd or 6th is shortest, you get the same strength increase for one hole and a full round so you may as well do one hole

From my own personal gaming experience. Feel free to correct me. Hope all this helps.

Grand Theft Auto: Online PvP Tips

(v1.29 ; Sept. 24, 2015)

  • Practice, practice, practice!
  • Don't get angry when somebody kills you. Treat it as all good fun.
  • Don't go into a rage and start running toward your opponent in attempt to exact revenge. They will kill you again.
  • Think ahead and have improvised strategy in mind. Most game types in GTA:O involve timing your dodge-rolls, deciding when to cover, when to ambush, where is the enemy heading, how far are they, how much time do you have before they bust out an RPG, does this place have adequate cover, do they have their back turned, and where are your teammates going.
  • In team deathmatches and captures, think and work like a team. Gang up and flank the enemy.
  • Recommended: have a microphone or headset, chat in a party, and play with friends
  • If you can't play with friends, try not to enter another activity with the same group of people or else they will figure out your reaction times and moves. Play with all kinds of people.
  • Learn from the best.
  • When somebody you are fighting goes off the radar, you go off the radar also or enter passive mode until they appear back on the map.*
  • Take video recordings of your mistakes and activities and review them.
  • Always check the player list in your lobby and take in consideration other players' reputation levels and K/D ratios. If the former is above a thousand or the latter is disproportionately high, like greater than 10, it's likely a hacker. Report and kick or leave the lobby immediately.
  • Pick your fights carefully. You might just dodge a bullet.
  • Don't switch weapons in the middle of a firefight. You will get killed.
  • If the person you're trying to kill won't die, takes forever to die, looks like they're in passive but somehow using guns (passive-godmode), or can keep dodge-rolling without any 3-second cooldown in between, they're hacking. Report and leave.
  • Don't play with hackers or cheaters. Don't encourage them or ask them to drop money bags for you (that might get you banned), even if they're on your team or a friend.
  • Ignore hateful and discriminatory speech. Mute/report/kick the perpetrators.
  • Keep moving. NEVER CAMP. People will find a way to kill you somehow.
  • Try not to use too much cover because the cover system is unreliable.
  • Always aim for the head. Almost instant kill, especially with your shotguns.
  • Practice a lot with a pump or sawed-off shotgun.
  • Bait your opponents with sticky bombs, grenades, and proximity mines.
  • If you can't shoot somebody because they're hiding behind some obstacle, get out your RPG or grenades and flush them out.
  • If your RPG runs out of ammo, switch to your Homing Launcher, but you'll have to be quick to fire or else it will target something you don't want.
  • Look back and forth between your radar/mini-map and your screen. Never settle on one for too long or else you'll have been blindsided.
  • To kill players in passive-godmode, destroy them with explosives.
  • Use an Assault Shotgun to kill players riding around in Armored Kurumas.
  • When an enemy approaches the edge of a corner, launch an RPG or leave a grenade at the ground before their feet. You can also destroy them if they're hiding behind a thin enough wall.
  • Don't use a sniper rifle against a player spraying their minigun. Unless they're distracted, you will get killed before you can take a shot.
  • Don't run out into the open unless you're confident in timing your dodge-rolls and accuracy of headshots.
  • Pull a bluff when you get spotted on the radar. Your minimap icon will appear red or outline in red (PS4).
  • To juke out cop cars, head in one direction and then quickly switch the other at the last second.
  • Call Lester often to reveal other players, or else wait until the other team does it. That will give you more reason to even the playing field.
  • Scout out the map you're going to play before you play it. Take note of places to climb, take cover behind, and where the enemy might spawn. By doing this, I managed to figure out some players climbed on top of the mansion in the Mansion deathmatch.
  • Optional: By placing a dot on your TV screen, you can know the center of your camera and target of your reticule to prevent yourself from having a bird's eye view of your character. This might be a habit for some. You need to be able to see what is who's in front of you.
  • By holding down the Fire button halfway, you can free-aim without the camera having to zoom-in. You can also dodge-roll while aiming this way. This can come in handy when holding Aim causes a significantly decreased field of vision.
  • For console players: To get out of the Internet instantly, press triangle/Y.
  • Don't cling to your teammates throughout an entire activity. It's annoying and it will get you and your teammates spotted on the radar and killed. If you somebody else does that to you and doesn't watch your back, try to shake them.
  • To dodge-roll straight out of cover, press the Fire, Take Cover, and Dodge-Roll buttons simultaneously while holding your left thumbstick in the direction of your choosing.
  • Recommended PvP Attire: Bulletproof helmet and Heavy Utility Vest, for added resistance against bullets to the head (in Activities and Heists) and explosions (in Heists)

Weapons

  • Know the capabilities of each weapon you own. Upgrade them all.
    • If you do not want to change your "Kill Yourself" animation to taking the cyanide pill, do not add any upgrades to your basic Pistol, not even colored tints. Killing yourself with a gun seems faster than the alternative and can get yourself out of sticky situations.
    • Marksman Pistol - needs reloading after every shot, but can lock onto targets farther than a shotgun's distance and carry the same punch if the target doesn't have armor
    • AP Pistol - primarily use this while driving; careful blowing stuff up with this
    • Shotguns - for short distances and close quarters. You should attach a silencer only to your Assault Shotgun.
    • Musket - one-shot weapon like the Marksman Pistol, locks on to targets and carries almost the same punch as the Heavy Sniper*
    • Special Carbine or Advanced Rifle - personally, I use the former for the accuracy, but some like the higher power and fire rate of the AR
    • Combat MG - can be very inaccurate if you fire it continuously. Try not to aim for the head with this weapon. Fire in short bursts, or else your reticule with rise due to recoil.
    • Marksman Rifle - prized for being foolproof, lacking enhanced zoom, and having a high fire rate; use this when fighting in the streets
    • Heavy Sniper - almost instant kill, best for very long distances; several well-placed shots can take down a P-996 Lazer fighter jet; acquire as soon as you hit level 90
    • Minigun - use for suppressing fire and keeping enemies behind cover; doesn't automatically lock on to targets. This is a free-aim weapon.
    • RPG, grenades, and mines - kill instantly within a blast radius. Place these strategically.
  • Drop weapons that are ineffective in a tense firefight.
    • Tear Gas, Molotov cocktails, etc.
    • All submachine and machine guns except the Combat MG.
    • All assault rifles except the Special Carbine or the Advanced Rifle.
    • Flare guns, as you really only use them in the Humane Labs Raid

Vehicles

  • It costs $200k-$600k to fully upgrade a vehicle from the ground up.
  • Off-road tires prevent spinning out when driving over curbs.*
  • You can repair vehicles for free by driving damaged ones in and out of your garage.*
  • Players cannot shoot you if you are driving a vehicle that lacks rear windows and the back of the it is facing the attacking player. These include the Zentorno, Entity XF, and Insurgent.*
  • If you intend to use the vehicle often, upgrade Armor, Brakes, Engine, Transmission, and Turbo before you respray.
  • Don't forget to put a Tracker and have Full Coverage on your vehicle if you didn't buy it from the Internet.
  • To hurdle over guardrails and low barriers with a motorcycle, perform a wheelie over it.
  • Sometimes you can avoid falling off your bike when driving into something, like a tree or a bush, by turning it sideways into the obstacle.
  • "Boosting" races meanings to take turns winning with somebody to unlock vehicle upgrades. This is the easiest and fastest way to do just that.
  • In case you've forgotten, blow your vehicle's horn to activate an acquired speed boost or fire twin rockets in races.
  • Best Fully Upgraded Cars in Each Class
    • Supers
      • Adder - highest top speed, use for races with long stretches of road; easily spins out
      • T20 - best handling, braking, and arguably the best Super
      • Entity XF - most used in crazy stunt races for its handling
    • Sports
      • Elegy RH8 - best handling and braking
      • Jester - best speed
      • Armored Kuruma - armor capability; best with off-road tires; always use this during Missions and Heists unless you want a challenge
        • Players and NPCs with shotguns will still be able to shoot you while you're driving this vehicle, due to the sprayed pellets of the gun. It doesn't happen often, but it does.
    • Sports Classic - Casco
    • Muscle - Dominator
    • Off-Road
      • Insurgent - hands down for its armor, handling, and speed; best vehicle to own overall
      • Sanchez - survives certain drops to the ground better than the Bati 801
    • Motorcycle - Bati 801
    • Coupe - Zion
    • Sedan - Schafter
    • Compact - Rhapsody
    • SUV - Huntley S
    • Van - Bison
  • Must-Have Pegasus Vehicles (judged by usefulness)
    • Insurgent Pick-Up
    • Rhino Tank
    • Hydra
    • Dinghy
    • Seashark
    • Vestra - best plane to use in air races
    • Buzzard Attack Chopper - fastest and most agile helicopter
    • Savage - most vicious; carries explosive cannon rounds and can fire missiles continuously without any cooldown time unlike the Buzzard; however, is definitely not as agile or fast
    • Valkyrie though, only useful when friends are manning the guns
  • To dodge homing missiles in a helicopter, make a sudden change in direction at the last second.
  • To prevent an enemy helicopter from locking on and firing on you, make sure you are behind them and always keep moving. Same with fighter jets.

Settings
This section might only apply to console players, specifically those who play on PS4, just because I do not know the settings or controls for the other platforms.

  • I personally use the "Standard FPS 2" control type because it remaps some buttons used to Take Cover, Jump/Climb, and Sprint. Reasons:
    • frees my thumb from smashing A repeatedly so I can focus more on turning the camera around
    • allows the ability to call NPCs while sprinting, which comes in very handy during deathmatches when I want to call Lester while still on the move
    • forces me to swim underwater if I am to swim faster, which is regardless
    • strafing sideways while zoomed-in with a sniper rifle becomes easier
    • Beware: If you wish to try out this setting, this button remapping might take some time to accustom.

These settings should help with sniping and turning the camera around.

  • Aiming Sensitivity high
  • Look-Around Sensitivity a smidgen higher
  • Look Deadzone LOW, but not completely
  • Look Acceleration left as it is

Other

  • Vehicle Camera Height high
  • Expanded Radar On ; enables a larger radar/minimap so you can see out farther, obviously
  • Screen Kill Effects should be on, unless you want to make it harder for yourself.
  • Targeting Mode is entirely up to you and how you play. I use Assisted Aim - Partial because I'm a noob and I play with other noobs.

Thank you and hope you enjoyed that list!

For anyone wanting to get a high score on the Freefall Without Dying challenge, head to the Fire Station in El Burro Heights. Theres a tower next to the station. Jumping off the second floor from the top should take you to first place or pretty close. Jumping from the top floor which is only a couple of metres higher will result in dying.

Anyone know the best money grinding method? I was thinking of doing Flecca job heist every time its available then just do Los Santos Connection, until Flecca is playable again. Also anyone know when heist become playable again after you complete it. I would grind other heist jobs with randoms but you'd be surprised at how bad people are. So I'm deciding to do Flecca because its relatively idiot proof. Any tips and advice?

Nah nah nah Gta 6

For thos stuck on the last Lamar mission (I think it's called Peace Offerings), there are two cars in nearby parking spaces, a Voodoo and some SUV, grab the Voodoo and place it next to the Machinery Box, then grab the SUV and park up against Benny's Garage door, this was extremely helpful as you have tons of cover to protect yourself, especially the east side.

I've posted in this thread before, but I wanted to make this post separate.

Experiment with button mapping (PC) and control types (console) so they fit your priorities.

For those who use auto-aim in particular, simply because it's the mode I use.

If you prioritize quick aiming and rotating the camera around to spot the enemy like I do, I advise maxing out Look-Around and Aiming sensitivities and lowering Deadzone altogether. If you use free-aim, you would rather raise Deadzone.

Why?

Look-Around Sensitivity affects the speed at which you can rotate the camera. The higher the sensitivity, the faster you can do just that.

Aiming Sensitivity affects how quickly you can lock-on to a target.

Deadzone affects the responsiveness of your controls compared to what actually happens in the game.

While the auto-aimer can simply aim, lock-on, flick their thumbstick up for a headshot, and get a kill within milliseconds, the free-aimer must dance around avoiding damage while maintaining a crosshair at head height without major vertical movement to deal sufficient damage. The latter needs tighter controls that don't respond much to an accidental nudge of a thumbstick.

However, in a GTA: Online world dominated by auto-aimers, such tighter controls leaves a delay in responsiveness and you as a bullet-ridden corpse.

Cheers.

Anyone know how to make a car go over 120 mph?

I thought it affects how fast you can aim (move around) your camera while aiming with a gun..

Actually your both wrong aiming sensitivity was introduced to completely f*ck me up , never had a single problem before , click-aim tap up -fire , brains all over the pavement, now whatever I set all the aiming/looking settings to it's either a little flick up and it's so low it's not moved off their chest or it's a flick and I've just put a hole in the side of the international space station ,

This past weekend I've been on a cop killing spree jumping from various places but don't seem to last long surviving the onslaught. Does anybody know a proper place to take down the police and escape efficiently? Thanks

the tunnel you use to escape in the "Vangellico Heist" in story mode. get cops to pursue you and camp inside so as you still see the road then wait for wave after wave. it's maybe a bit boring but very efficient when you just NEED to kill a lot of cops. escape into the subway.

VIP glitch to bypass 12 hour wait in a invite only lobby with only 1 other friend as your bodyguard.

You and a bodyguard in most wanted...

$22,000.

The pay is only like $16,500 with more than one bodyguard.

Want to up your kills but scared of fighting face-to-face?

Simply place proximity mines at the doorways of LSC, Ammunation, shops, etc. Some poor f*cker will unwittingly walk into it and KABOOM!!!

This was the exact method I used to convince several of my friends that worrying about KDR in GTA is quite meaningless. Then I kind of got addicted to doing it for its own sake, and now I actually put thought into how and where I put mines down.

LSC is probably the best spot because people will be driving along too fast to spot or hear the mines most of the time, as long as you are willing to accept the risk that you may blow up some PVs along the way (although it happens much less often than one would expect). Booby-trapping the Vespucci helipad or the ladders on the hospital is also a great way to catch people trying to pick up vehicles.

And of course, putting a mine outside someone while they're in a store is always interesting, because lots of people will hear the mine beeping but have a tough time figuring out how to exit the store without dying (since so many people refuse to use passive mode when it is clearly the best solution to a problem).
