Sorry to waste your guys' space here, but I've come to the realization. Instead of freaking out about not being the only one who plays as a female avatar, I should do something proactive. I like playing as a female avatar, but I do want to post pictures of a male here.

 

 

 

 

I have an empty character slot. Perhaps I make a male and alternate from time to time? Yeah...

Been working on refining my Snapmatic skills recently - a task not made any easier when my usual assistant is 'El Dorko'...

In fairness, aside from K's tendency to pull stupid faces (which means I've got to hold a shot for aaaaages, wait for her to stop blinking/pouting/twitching, and then take the shot at just the right split-second when everything aligns exactly), she does have a bit of the old strabismus going on:

 

 

Perfectly nice screenshot moment - ended a gang attack standing on a plane, which pushed the camera down/closer, making for a fortuitous angle just right for screen-capping. And yet, due to whatever quirk of the specific genetics/settings I used/imported, her eyes often wind up not hitting the same 'fixation point', with one drifting over to 'centre' every so often.

Like I say, that's not something that can be helped, and it's kind of a neat unique thing that crept in when hitting 'random' at character creation all those months ago - besides, it never stopped Kristen Bell, did it?

But yeah, it's one of those things that you become aware of, and then you start seeing it all the time - like this one, where I was experimenting with getting consistent lighting*:

 

 

*btw, the trick I've found is to stand facing the sun or whatever light source is strongest, but in some shade, to avoid glare, and thus over-exposure...

 

Likewise, when going for a 1920s-esque, sepia-toned vibe with some period-authentic scenery - starts out pretty well:

 

 

...but then the squint starts to creep in, as well as the 'drift' becoming more noticeable...:

 

 

 

Still, that's certainly not what I mean by the whole 'derp' thing - I'm not the sort of asshole to mock minor vision issues, because that'd just be mean. No, the whole 'dork' side of things is, well, this:

 

 

...yeah, yeah - very funny. Just because I put the 'soft-focus' effect on, doesn't mean you can start messing around and making dopey 'kissy faces', you clown...
