Exactly. When Misty is used you get the same face every time and these ridiculously thick lips. Yet every Misty char gets instant likes...

(in all seriousness, she's a great choice, because you can get distinctive results with just a minor bit of tweaking. Props [to nightcheese and ReminiRoseToDecay - you've both got really unique, well-designed characters! )

Quick check, and yup - no lasting ill-effects from ...whatever the heck that was. Seems limited to the carnival masks, too - went and scrolled through every mask in my inventory (mostly hockey ones, plus the stocking and team tactical one), and no change, so that's a relief.

Fingers crossed for some imminent V-day releases - Kelly needs a Gusenberg, dammit! But then again, don't we all need a Gusenberg in our lives at some point?

I'd need to look at my logs to see who Lola's mother was but I know it wasn't Misty, note to self to see when I'm near my PC.

This is because almost nobody uses Misty properly. People follow made up rules like the resemblance slider and how it "has" to be all the way to the mothers side otherwise your char will look horrible. Why people go by this crap is beyond me but hey I can't speak for everybody. I have seen some good ones that had Misty as mother but not many.

 

Here is what my Misty based char looks like.

I believe when DumbForum was recreating my character he said I used the mother Sophia.

 

I never think to keep track of the parents.

It sucks that PSN and Live can't work together especially for certain games, theres some people on xbox that i never got to play with like Wanes but yeah everyone on PSN is sort of like in a way a family lol.

Yeah and im glad that its that way, i always enjoy the sessions with all of you guys and if you guys are on this weekend maybe we can do some sort of group session(i got the perfect theme)and next week will be car meet #5.

Heh - and to think I was going to hold out for PC! I'd have been a community of one...

 

Know what you mean, tho' - I did the maths, and between Sunset Overdrive and the oh-so-satisfying new Xbox controller (never liked the 'squidgy' DualShock buttons - solid ABS plastic triggers all the way!), I figured I'd done alright for myself with the Xbone, but now I've gotten back into GTAO and posting here on the GTAF (after a short, ill-advised break to try Destiny... ), I can't help thinking I 'backed the wrong horse'...

 

Ah, well - still, one can always share war stories with u guise here, I suppose!

Best thing to do would be have some decent reference photos from several angles (ideally one 'profile'/side and one 'portrait'/head-on), and have them next to the screen for quick reference.

 

That, and my tip to ANYONE who doesn't want a freakishly-unrealistic character is to scroll through the preset features first, before using the 'free-form grid' bit at the bottom. In other words, don't use a 'custom' anything to begin with - for example, for jawline, see what works best out of 'standard', 'rounded' and 'square' (the presets) before using the custom settings.

 

That way, you might not get exactly what you're aiming for, but you'll probably get close, and the result won't have weird proportions. And if you do reckon it's worth doing some extra custom tweaking to get things perfect, A) you'll have a decent starting point to work from, and B) ...if you screw something up, you can just go back to whatever preset features you settled on, and start again from there.
