Great pics GXP! It was a great meeting.

 

It was kinda funny how we were hanging out peacefully in Downtown LS (taking pics and all) when suddenly a cop started shooting at us and we all had to scram

 

Obvisously, we reunited a couple minutes later at Los Santos Customs where we got rid of the heat

The fun thing is that we (mostly you) at the moment were taking some snaps when suddenly out of nowhere two cops showed up on foot trying to make us leave the area. Spencer confronted the cop trying to make him see that we were in peace and not looking for trouble. So for no reason, the officer took his weapon and pointed it at you (delisue), because you had your phone peaked at us and GXP was also behind you. As we all know, the LS Police is widely known for shooting first and ask questions after. Without a hesitation, Spencer sprayed two bullets in the cops head. The second officer was also taken care of, as he was hidding behind a car and shooting at us. We four separated our ways and managed to escape de cops near LSC. So yeah this is one of many heating moments we get by hanging out with Spencer. After that everything was chill and no more hostilities. I hope you still did really enjoyed the session with us

I don't even remember the cops showing up, it must of been when i switched to June but we did the damn thing in that session. Funny how Spence, for once you were being the wild child while i was the calm one because ive been known to turn up lobbies, just ask cswood or bongsquirel ,they know lol.

 

@-GXP- Man you are killing it with that biker pic, June and motorcycles go so well together like butter on bread.

Not being a wild child on purpose Had trouble last time with GXP. The army and the Lost were on our @sses. It could have been maybe worse if I didn't had lost internet connection...

Welp. New bug found - went to Vespucci Movie Masks to pick up the skull hockey mask and a few others. Scrolled through the list of Cultural masks (specifically the carnival ones), and Kelly's face went from looking like this:

 

...to a lean-faced white gal, more like this:




(not my character - and no disrespect to whoever's character that is, either! Just a close example of what I'm talking about, is all...)


But yeah - not good!


Fortunately I backed out of that menu as fast as I damn well could, and it seemed to revert back without (as far as I can tell) any permanent damage done:




Top photo taken before the bug happened, bottom after I managed to undo it. Like I say, AFAIK, nothing permanent happened.

Still, worth taking into consideration - might be worth steering clear of the mask shop for a while... That's what I'm doing - don't really use 'em all that often, and I'm not going to tempt fate by trying to replicate the glitch again, lest the results stick!!

After changing Alannah's hair to short, I noticed a strange black mark on the back of her neck and immediately suspected it was from the tattoo parlor. It sure was. As I scrolled through the tattoo menu, the mark on the back of her neck would flash (for a lack of better description lol)

See, I don't mind the occasional broken thing - game code tends to handle like a tangled ball of thread, and so pulling on one strand to fix/add something usually results in something else getting yanked along with it, or knotting up, or unraveling.

What I DON'T have time for is stuff that can't be repaired - and while I did make a note of my character customisation settings for Kels (didn't for 'X' - more's the pity...), it still bugs me that, if something were to be permanently broken, I imagine the only option they'd give me would be to re-transfer my 360 progress, and thus wipe out the last several months of game progress.

This is why a 'plastic surgery', or other character re-customisation feature needs to be added (and maybe even a 'save my settings' feature, so we can restore 'em like a template) - for those who've had their character's skin/face/gender/etc. glitch out and remain stuck that way, it'd give them the opportunity to fix it, without loss of progress, or worse, deleting their character.

Heck, if a car gets glitched, most of 'em can be traded in and bought back. But characters are meant to be kept for the long run - if we get stuck with a bug, we're short on luck.

If you have a free character slot you may want to look into the character change glitch, but yeah, I am all for a plastic surgery option and saving stats of previously created characters.

^ Nope - 2 characters. And besides, having to use a glitch proves my point - there's no approved/officially-sanctioned method of fixing any permanent character glitches, other than filing a support ticket and hoping the response is "we'll let you use the character customiser again", rather than "you can re-import your old save... ...and wipe whatever progress you've made since transferring".

Like with the skin glitch, I'm tempted to get on to R* support over this again, and suggest this. Heck, most MMOs allow reasonably-free re-customisation on a cosmetic level, and even things like stat re-specs, often done by purchasing a token with real/in-game money.

Doesn't even need to be an in-game service like 'surgery' - just pay 150k or what-have-you to re-customise your character, or something like that.


That, and figure out whatever this specific thing is with the Mask shop, because bloody hell, I didn't need that at 5am...

I'd need to look at my logs to see who Lola's mother was but I know it wasn't Misty, note to self to see when I'm near my PC.

 

Misty was a good way of getting a character that didn't look a total dog, hence I think most picked her

If you check out Saints Row forum, you can see most westerners like to create female character with huge eyes, thick lips, and ultra boobs.

 

So I'd guess that's just how most westerners see 'beautiful woman' and that's why Misty is the perfect choice for them in GTA.

I hate Misty's lips and her NOSE... I'm in desperate need for character repair to be honest, but it's hard to make a cute yet sly looking character, and keep her East-Asian looking. I don't like how she looks extremely generic and I want her to look different, not if I have to sacrifice this to get her to look better, no problem.

...see, I just hit 'random' half a dozen times (back on 360, so with the old potato-quality graphics in the character creator, too), until I got something that I thought "eh, I can live with that as a result".

I've seen some good characters that use Misty as a base, but IMO, they all succeed by off-setting 'stock' Misty's cartoonish proportions/features to get a more 'realistic human' result. Same with Niko Bellic - the stock version's such a caricature that you really have to minimise his influence, choose a mother that works in conjunction, and then go into fine-tuning the specifics, else you get something pretty exaggerated (and clearly 'Niko'-esque), despite your best efforts.

The media plays a big part, girls at a young age are brainwashed into thinking thinner is better, and unless they look like a skeleton, and stay at their birth weight, they'll be considered ugly.

 

Honestly I think very few blokes find that attractive. I know an ironing board does nothing for me personally, but then I'm hardly Prince Charming myself...

 

Shepherd, exactly the same for me. A good number of random then small tweaks, but the next gen creator was brilliant for fine tuning that work. Really happy with the end result. Lola isn't the best looked on the forums but far from the worst!

Thank you ^_^ I think all three of those looks great.

 

I think Misty's a gorgeous choice. I just think more individuality or creativity would make her lips less tired to look at lol. I could be wrong about this because I don't have the experience with creating with Misty so I don't know if it's impossible to change her lips or not, but her lips isn't the matter as much as how the lips almost always seem identical. Like, they are definitely unique, but when everyone has Misty's default lips, how unique are they really? You know?

 

And I'm not saying anybody needs to be unique. I'm saying seeing someone who's unique-looking keeps it refreshing. In all fairness, it's not easy to create unique looking characters in this game without putting in much extra effort... wasn't for me at least. And I'm well aware that not everyone cares about how their character looks, so it's all good, no biggie. It just would be nice... more individuality. Actually, I think that part applies to real life as well but whatev.
