Can finally join this thread. Thoughts? Not quite sure how I feel, to be quite honest.

Another experiment that turned out rather interestingly - decided to recreate one of the very first selfies I took on Xbone.

Here's straight after importing (and some shenanigans - hence the facial bruise!) - nearest possible approximation to the old-gen 'smoky black' makeup, no clue as to how to use the new head/camera angles:




Same angle, close-enough prop placement, but with a better grasp of the subtleties of new-gen's hair/makeup options:




And finally, how I'd do the same today, picking better angles and shot framing:

...and now I've discovered the rather nifty website xboxdvr.com, which (among other things) lets you download your Xbone clips as mp4s, and also make Imgur gifs* out of 'em:

(or rather 'gifvs', which are lower-resolution - apparently Xbone DVR clips are pretty effing huge, and when converted to traditional gif format, result in browser-crashing monstrosities, like the ones I've been fighting for the past 10 minutes, just to delete and replace with the above links... )

Is there a PlayStation equivalent to this?

Alright folks, for those who didn't get the memo, heres the Offical car meet poster for this saturday. Make sure to clear up enough space on your cameras to get some amazing shots of all of the beautiful cars & beautiful people of los santos.

This lovely lady will be in attendance for the event

And also im not forcing a dress code but it is highly recommended that the attire of choice should be casual wear for the event like suits, dress clothes, polos, and etc.

Looks very skinny in the face if that's the look you were after, but far from the worst on here!

 

And blue hair rocks, definetly a lot of love for the new hairstyle options and colours, especially the highlights!

In the hair salon, go to the style you want and press square on PS4 or equivalent for Xbox, then you get to select a 2nd colour for highlights

 

Can do some really nice combinations..

 

Above is blue hair, pink highlights

 

Blonde & Pink

Ginger & Yellow

 

Blue & Teal

 

Lot of experimenting to be done still!

During a run through 'The Los Santos Connection', I realised that the lighting inside the hangars is quite flattering for photography (nice and even in terms of light sources - like a studio set-up), so went for a bit of a practice session:




Of course, sometimes you hit, others, you miss...




Also, here's the cool 'before and after' experiment I tried yesterday - posted it in the 'next-gen character' thread, but here it is with an old-gen comparison pic added:


360, smoky black makeup, black hair, green eyes (as standard):




Xbone, same day I transferred, with as close an approximation of hair/makeup as on 360 - no idea how to change camera/head angle, or zoom in/out:




Several months later (i.e. yesterday!), brown hair/eyes, more natural/flattering makeup, more-or-less the same angle for comparison:

 

...and with a complete do-over in terms of shot composition ...which, curiously enough, ended up with a pose closer to the 360 version:




Again, for comparison with that last one:




...tempted to go through some of my other 360 snaps, and re-create those, because it really drives home how much better everything looks on the new hardware.

Decided to finally switch up my character's appearance with the appearance glitch to match myself a bit more. It's not too different, but Nicole's lips were pissing me off to no end. I also didn't realllyyy like the eye situation. And I squared out the chin and futzed about with the nose. Tried to make it look unique without looking too "bird-like". I tried adding the "depression" skin aging, too, without going too overboard—just subtle stuff to make my dude look a bit more weathered without looking haggard.

 

One of my eyes is kinda f*cked and I haven't a clue why.

While I don't think your character looks nearly that bad, you are in luck, they are adding multiple paper bag masks with the release of heists:
