In all my life of gaming I've never seen a more sh*tty character creation system. I'm disappointed, Rockstar can do better than this.

I honestly dislike the creation system, it's stupid, the grandparent/parent thing has no point.

It's innovative and different. Never seen a more sh*tty character creation system?!? Why make yourself sound like a complete f*cking tool? You could just say that you don't like it....or, not post sh*t like that in a thread where someone is trying to be positive. Asshat.

I created my character (Mexican guy) he ended up looking exactly like my cousins dad, except with shorter hair. It's pretty f*cking creepy. Character customization is horrible. I'm just afraid when my cousin comes to visit and he sees my online character, there's gonna be a weird silence between the two of us.

Well, it is pretty crappy. Also, innovative and different does not always mean it's good...anyways, The Sims 2 and 3 did this as well (and better), so it's definitely not innovative.

Ah kiss my arse, I have the right to express my opinion don't I? Innovative, yeah right. The least they could have done is give us more control over what the character looked like.

I'm not a fan of the character creation - but I can see what they've attempted to do.

 

If you were to have say 1000 characters that you had to page left and right to, it'd be pretty boring, and most people would end up using a character in the first couple of hundred at most.

 

By selecting one of 14 for each of grandparents, to create your parents, and then base your character on a combination of the two, and then pick some extra characteristics, it's an attempt to "mimic" the world we know with a larger variation of avatars. Personally I did find it a bit contrived - but kudos to R* for trying something new.

 

If enough of us don't like it, I'm sure it won't be used in a future game...

 

Until then, it's a two minute thing for any new online game.... :-)
