So Who's Actually Online Then?

I personally managed to get up to the point of robbing the liqour store and then when i tried to join a Last Man Standing game it froze, not got online since.

I knew it would be a bit hit and miss whether you could play online smoothly today but didnt think it would be this bad! Rockstar should have known way way before the game was even released that the online would be heaving with people on day 1 due to the fact of how much hype this game got.

So has anyone got past the Last Man Standing game mode part then yet? ive been hearing lots of info on how apparently the onlines broken etc.

I managed to be online for about four hours total. Of that, I spent almost half of it looking at loading screens - trying to join my friends' servers/missions.

I've been unable to get online at all in the past 45mins.

after trying non stop since 9am EST, I finally got the first race to load and just won it.. it's running smoothly.. hope it holds!

PS3 user here. Have made a couple characters but they all get deleted. Gonna give it another try later.

Just did the tutorial race then a black screen for about 10minutes so have restarted the game

I got up at 8am Mountain time. Downloaded the update and then waited. I was having some issues with it saying the cloud was down. After about 30 min I was able to connect and Have had no issues since.

My guy doesn't even get into the car, the car pulls up the guy gets out then it does it again the car pulls up and then he gets out again and then a picture of LS shows and says waiting for players..

They had years to prepare. And 2 extra weeks to perfect. The fact that 99% can't even connect to the servers is ridiculous.

It's pretty unacceptable but then again this is the fastest selling game of all time. There are at least 10 million people with the game and who knows how many of them are trying to connect at once. It would be impossible for Rockstar to stress test that load.

Some of you are so lucky. I can't even get the first race started. Ran around for like 5 minutes and evaded a star and beat a few peds down. Then my character was deleted.
