Quick Question about Names

Hey guys, just wondering how the character name works? I'm not sure whether to use my online ID or a random name?

 

I'd rather be listed as Causton97 in-game rather than 'John Smith', for example. Is it just for the biography of the character or is it something that other players will use to identify me?

Hmm... I don't suppose anyone who has successfully managed to get online can show us?

I think it's only for the character, so you can choose which one you want and give him/her a bit of biography. Other people's names still appear, not their character's names.

Yea be interesting to see what your name does in the game. Maybe on like...your bank account at the atm machine....insurance crap..

I know in game my name is my XBL username. The Name is for the profile, and could be for the bank accounts and all that sort of stuff.

The player list shows your Xbox LIVE Gamertag/PSN ID as does the.banking website accessible through the phone. It seems that the character name only shows on the character select screen.

I'm very tempted to just give him my online ID as a name.I shouldn't think they'd give us personalized bank accounts and stuff based on the character name? I'm pretty sure that could be confusing for some people... particularly some of the users that have recently joined it seems!

 

Using our online ID's seems to be the sensible thing to do. Looks like I'll just do that!

I wanted to use "James Misayuki" as a name but it was too long. Just used "James".
