biff6767 Posted October 1, 2013 Share Posted October 1, 2013 ...after the update? anyone else notice this? even the fastest cars no longer have any sense of speed. they really messed up SP. the game is also very choppy with horrible pop-in now. i can learn to deal with the performance going down but this lack of sense of speed is really making me not like this game any longer. biff6767 Posted October 1, 2013 Author Share Posted October 1, 2013 oh well i just won a race online with 7 other players.. 2nd place was 15 seconds behind.. pretty fun glad they did not mess with it in MP. i know it had to change in SP and it's me not going crazy. i put so many hours in SP you just notice the differences really easily. this is the ps3 version by the way. for some dumb reason i went with the digital release. i have a 360 i have no idea why i didn't buy it on that. by the way, all the problems people were saying they had with the digital release did not impact me as i used an SSD. it worked great till this update that is. I DON'T KNOW. thank you. i do not think it is a placebo effect. we do know they did update the SP as we have some UI changes. i wish it was just in my mind. all we can hope for now is they fix it and quick. i have a theory why they changed the speed. due to all the people bringing up the bad pop-in in the digital release they might have slowed down car speed to help with that. the problem is they did not fix the pop-in and actually somehow made it worse along (of course as i mentioned) with slowing down the cars. i had a feeling they might try and fix that. again, i had no problems before the update as i found this is one of the select few ps3 games where an SSD really, really helps. "GTAIV driving is back, we don't like it, we don't know what we want, but want it right now!" greeeeat. the game was perfect for me before the update. perfect. again, i think they made changes due to ps3 digital release problems. if everyone did what i did and try and fix the problem themselves by either getting an SSD or at least a 7200rpm HDD this would not have been such a big problem for them. i suppose that is asking way too much though as the game should have played like the disc version with default hardware. He has the Adrenaline Effect every professional driver has while driving a car capable of going above 140 miles per hour where once you hit 100% driving skill and 100% special ability. Like my KITT edition Ruiner. At 100% driving skill he hits 169 outside of special. Then hit the buttons and use his special ability. I did and my Firebird Trans Am GTA hit top speed of 210.14 miles per hour. Since you can't use him in Multiplayer well then I guess none of you will ever make the GTA Bugatti Veyron 16.4 hit 268 miles per hour while I have one and will do so!
