Every going crazy over the issues of launch but why? I know many of us understand but there are a few that I don't think have ever gamed. Any gamer that's been around and has been gaming for a while should know that launches of these type of games never go perfect. In fact they usually go horribly and it's best to stay away for the first day. Also what's really making me shake my heed is the fact that R* released a statement earlier this week saying this would happen but be patient.

 

I just don't get it. It'll all work out.

I'm actually an adult, but it seems you can't even complain about the things you bought without being called a "12 year old". No one bought these presents but me.

I understand a game having a lot of bugs at the start, but I just feel like most of these should've been noticeable.

Like the race glitch at the start - where the race doesn't trigger, even after a half hour of waiting. I restarted the game seven times (waiting at least ten minutes each time, thinking that I had to wait for someone to race against) before it finally started the race with just Lamar and I.


Hell, I had a glitch before I even got control of my character - when it shows your character for the first time in the window, it immediately took me back to single player like I was swapping characters.

The best thing for them to have done would have been to just put the Online on when the game released. That way people wouldn't all be flocking onto their servers at once. Even if the servers would have crashed then it would have calmed down within a few days while people were still playing the missions. I, and all my friends have completed the game so we have nothing to do.

Read the TOS when you agree to RockStars terms.

You didn't pay for online, its free and they don't even have to fix anything about it. You paid 60$ for the single player campaign whether you like it or not.

That has nothing to do with that, Rockstar set the Date for the MP Release, so its their duty to get it to work, since we as he said, paid for it.

Out of the 34 people on my friend list that have the game, only three haven't completed the story. 25 of them were also trying to get into games this morning.

 

If multiplayer had been released at the start, people would have tried it - found it buggy - and then gone to single player for the time being, satisfied that Rockstar would fix the problems shortly. But now, with nothing to do after endgame, everyone's getting frustrated that they can't get into Online - the only source of new content.

This does make a lot of sense, but they did say they were still working on GTA:O though. So I assume GTA:O will not likely be 100% for another month or so if they were working on it after the original release date of GTA V. But it'll likely be playable within a few days if not by later today. I'd honestly rather go thru all this trial & error period now than to have them delay it for weeks or months. As long as I can play the game in some type of way whether it's online with temporary glitches on just offline, I'm fine for now. But these issues are far from unexpected, from the information we were already given I wasn't even sure if we'd be able to create our player early on anyway since servers were gonna be the issue.

Perhaps because it's one of the most anticipated features of the fastest selling game on record, that we had to wait an additional two weeks for, only to be met with something that can't be played.

 

It's one thing to say "there might be a few bugs on release". It's quite another to release the game and it be nigh-unplayable because R* didn't prepare enough server space beforehand. Just because they gave us warning of "issues" doesn't mean they get a free pass over this farce.

Bethesda is on my (censored) list due to Skyrim on the PS3 and now Rockstar is on the list due to providing a crappy ass game and making me wait two weeks to play online which always bleeped up.... Honestly I swore off Bethesda and Skyrim was my very first game and I can ignore Rockstar's next game till it's $30.
