Rockstar told ppl ahead of time to be patient with them and that there would be issues with online the first few weeks but they would take care of it.

When the hell will kids understand that its not just stacking servers on top of eachother, there is no technology today that could handle THAT amount of pressure from connecting users, im sure even the ISP servers are completely toast.

 

Could they have done a better job? Sure.

Could they have gotten better hardware to cope with this amount of people? Hell no.

So is GTAO. Anyone who thinks R* has dedicated servers for matchmaking has been led to believe that by R*. Their servers are just for sharing stats and allowing customisation out-of-game - it's those Social Club servers that are not allowing PS3's matchmaking to work. The 360 can cope with this and is getting more players online.
