Pressing start brings up your menu like in SP, the map, online, friends, etc.

 

The back button menu is small and neat, the options are:

 

Quick GPS

Inventory

Impromptu Race

Action (This is where you can smoke, flick people off etc)

Player mood (Make yourself look happy, sad/what ever)

Enable passive mode (This costs $100)

Highlight player (Makes the blips of selected players flash or a short time)

Request personal vehicle (Get your car back or delivered)

Empty personal vehicle (Not sure, maybe removes players from it? It's greyed out for me)

Vehicle access (You can lock your car if you want)

Chat (Who can hear you)

Kill Yourself (Uhm, kill yourself, pretty self explanatory, this costs $500)

How does voice chat work? If you join a random group can they hear you with out being in an party? Or can you talk to people near by?

It's like in IV, either the whole server can hear you, or only friends, etc. If someone is in their own private Xbox LIVE chat, I don't believe they can hear you. I'll have to ask the people in the server if they're in private chats.

Yes, to a degree, if you're in a stolen car, and police see you in it, you will get 1 star. However, if you go to the pay and spray, and get a tracker/insurance, it'll become your car, and you won't get a star for it anymore.

Can you create a free roam session like in GTA IV with options like disabling cops and so on?

 

I've seen in the pause menu you can choose to play solo or make a private sessionbut since the cloud is down I can't go any further so I can't check if there are options.

 

Somehow I have the feeling you won't be able to disable cops though.

You just select cigarettes from the back menu, and press A to smoke then.

 

I'm level 4, you can get basic body armor at 5, so getting close to being able to wear some.

 

I haven't notice more interiors, but there's certainly more stores to go in to now.

I'm well past lamar's race. I've done a few simeon repossesions, and cops and crooks mission. I'm level 5 heading into 6 now. Shot a few people, and met that Chris Formage from the Epsilion program when I died. He introduced passive mode.

Just like in single player, only there's a ton of houses/garages. You can go onto the Internet to buy cars/planes/helicopters/boats/bikes etc, just like in single player, only there's more vehicles to choose from. You can also go to a house, a check it out by getting a waypoint like in single player from Dynasty8.com.
