Ghost town feeling... seems that had to make a lot of sacrifice in multiplayer, more than I thought.

they cut about 50% of the traffic, also its not a sacrifice its a must do, synching is the bane of any online game, shoother games get away with this easily, but consider this for a sec in shooster all the data that the server get from you is your position, your direction of aim and a few small bits. Now in gta`s case each pedestrian that spawn in your game HAVE to be synched withe everyone else who gets close enough to you, all of the sudden its 20 times more data getting sent back and forth, otherwise you`ll see different things others do.

 

Even on pc this IS a problem just as much, simulator games like arma have terrible issues with this, and its not just your internet taht slows this down, you can have all the fibre net you can but if one pllayer have bad net the desynch happens.

Managed to get a bit of gameplay from GTAO

Thanks for sharing OP.

 

City feels EMPTY. Im starting to hate the previewers a bit more.

 

Once again we were made to believe in they lies. "city full of life" / "just as same as SP"....

 

If i remember correctly even R* said in a preview the city would feel alive and they have made no sacrifices about this on MP

No.

 

So single-player and GTA Online are literally exactly the same?

Usually we cut quite a lot out from multiplayer. We haven't (in GTA Online). That's not to say we might not in the next little while. But, no, what you see is what you're going to get. I think we might stream in the detail on cars at a slightly different time, because cars take up quite a chunk of memory. But the world is the world. We can't have two versions of it.

Cut traffic? I was in a 12 man lobby. Try driving on the interstate evening time. Tons of vehicles

Havent played yet but that was not what i saw it from videos, not even pedestrians... hope im wrong about it.
