whats really funny is the fact that Xbox users got first dibs.. If problems were so concurrent then everyone would be experiencing them, not just PSN users. I'm not blaming anyone but it sucks that it is the way it is.. If Playstation online was a premium service like Xbox Live was then this probably wouldn't be happening. Like they say Cash is king in GTAO... They weren't kidding.

 

Dude, I'm on 360 and I can't get past the tutorial. Trust me, it's not PS3 exclusive.

Physixus or whatever your name is, stop defending Rockstar mindlessly, I paid for a product and I expect it to work day-one.

 

They had a lot of money and resources to get their sh*t done, nothing justifies this, no matter what. So shut up already.

No big profile game launched the online without issues, not even the giant that Blizzard is. So it is not realistic to expect Rockstar to do it flawlessly since the start - they even said so.

 

You can be mature and accept that certain things are impossible to do right at the first try, or not. But it is entirely your fault for having unrealistic expectations, not Rockstar`s.

As much as I hate to complain and go on about things that everybody else and their grandmother is, I really don't think it makes me a kid for having a dig at Rockstar for their blatant lack of consideration for customer satisfaction.

 

If anything, it makes you a kid for jumping on the 'ohhh rockstar are really good and they will fix it, just be nice to them, pls, i love them' bandwagon. If nobody complained, you know what? Every game with online features would have sh*t server connections etc because why improve when the customer states no desire for better conditions and improvements. Get real...

 

OR! They would have the servers fixed faster because there was 1000's of you KIDS trying to get on every 10 min. See you have no clue about servers or cloud servers...shall we get in the dns and xp rt lnt customs????? Shall we continue? NO because your a little bitch kid who is crying because mom says to do the dishes. Shut the f*ck up already you little sh*t! Its a f*cking server go google how they work so maybe you understand a little bit about what your bitching about! Idiots these days. Kid are just mad that they skipped school and havent been able to play.

They skipped today because in the UK, teachers are on strike so most students have a day off.

 

 

R* sure picked a bad day to launch V which--by pure coincidence--is the day the US Congress begins its new fiscal year.

 

And also coincidentally, the US government is officially shut down today. So now a whole bunch of government bureaucrats have lots of idle time on their hands.

 

Which just multiplied the aggro by factor 1E6 :lol:

What I think is more sad is that people now accept this as the norm and curse at those who recieved a date and won't be able to receive a service on said date.


This isn't just a coincidence with rockstar, this has happened with almost every online game "lately", things like this over the years should be known by companies.


They'll continue to do this, because people will accept it.


You honestly think Rockstar didn't think GTAV would do good in unit amounts? C'mon, if you believe that your the consumer they want.


I also read a post by R* that they were still buying servers.


It's called penny pinching, they won't spend money to make sure the service is up and running on the same date and keep good value... they would rather keep upgrading, etc. even after the date to save as much as possible.


People took off for Oct. 1, they gave us a date to start playing, not a date to just acknowledge that servers are up, these problems were only mentioned close to launch and not during the initial release or before hand.


It's Oct. 1 now, puppets.


This is how high value service drops, b/c if the consumer doesn't care, then why should the provider?


Keep bashing people though, I guess that's what keeps you busy during the wait.

But the question is what are we to do about it. I, personally, don`t like to complain when I am faced with a problem, but rather find a constructive way of dealing with it. It helps no one if I yell "Oh look! Rockstar is a dirty cheap company that is working with the Illuminati to steal ma sixty!!!".

 

I am past the age at which I start crying out of everything. My options in this case are listed a tad above:

 

1. I can google and see what the problems are, what Rockstar is doing to fix them and when will they be fixed.

2. I can keep trying to connect on PS3 and send them messages at that email with as much detailed incidents as I encounter them.

3. I can decide that Rockstar and Take-Two don`t deserve my money anymore, at which point I can do one of the two: play THIS game and make good use of the money already spent and not buy their next products, or sell my product in the hope that the buyer will not spend money to Rockstar AND not buy their next products.

 

There is a 4th option, but that is reserved for younger players:

4. Cry and moan like a baby.

If rockstar didn't care about you they wouldn't have gone to all this trouble to create a massive online world in the first place and would have just given us the same online platform at IV.
