In the time I played GTA Online, I kinda enjoyed it, however am I the only one who thinks the first race is a bad idea?

Not from a technical stand point, but from an efficiency one. You have to wait for 7 other players to finish the cutscene and then you can race. Not a problem right now, since there are a slew of players, but down the line, it might be a problem, having to wait for other players.

Ive read it can be done solo aswell. One here stated he did it by himself.

I did it by myself, it just had me and Lamar racing.

I can also confirm it can be done solo (in fact, at the time, I didn't think other players could ever join during the tutorial section). I just bet all of my money on my self and won the race. I didn't have any issues. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

did the first race with lamar. completed and won. but DO NOT do the race with other players! be warned

I thought it was okay, although I think its broke as I got a pop up saying record set and now have an achievement of being a world record holder in that race.

 

So either the stats/achievements are broke or something fishy going down! I didn't think 2:40:00 was fast!

It doesn't matter how many players there are starting it - I can't get on it. Also when I try to enter solo mode my guy walks into the 'mall or nothing' marker and it crashes. Why? Because it's an MP mode.
