Theory behind the random face 'bruises'

Yes, I know at Rank 5 you can renter skill points- I actually got the bruises after that!

how many times you guy's died? it could be a more advanced version of single players "scar" system. the more you die, the more bruises you accumulate? along side your "illegal hours" stat of course.

Most of the injuries I've noticed come from bad driving. Flip your car a few times going too fast and your face and arms will be bruised to sh*t. Or when you rejoin free roam after a few races it'll do the same sometimes. it resets to no injuries after rejoining also so I dunno...

 

Edit: And exiting to singleplayer and joining back in will remove the bruises if it gets too unbearable. After about an hr of playing I do this, lol.

I'm pretty sure it's just damage from car crashes, fights, etc. You can "clean up" by taking a shower or sleeping in a bed.

Unless you're referring to something I've never seen.

Although I do like the Kifflom idea OP stated. Sounds like a neat little way to explain away respawning people. lol

That's exactly because you die and respawn. The more you die, the more scars you recive, don't die for a while and they be gone.

Yeah I like pretending there's a reason behind everything in free roam. Like we all respawn because Kraff wills it. And eveyrthing costs more in free roam because there's a recession on

yeah if im in a few firefights and car accidents my face sometimes looks like freddy kruger. it wont go away until i go offline and back online then i look like a baby faced assassin again.

Not all the time...my character took a shower three times to get rid of this soot mark on her face and it stayed; everything else...blood and all was cleaned up but that mark remained no matter how many times I made her clean herself.

sleep in the bed to remove them.. showering only removes blood

 

also.. i think it's from car crashes... actually i'm pretty damn sure. one does not simply crash at high speed without smashing your face into the dashboard

I wish you could turn off blood/gore in this game. Those scars/bruises are annoying and I hate them.
