Character Creation

Once I create my character, if im able to join a server for the tutorial when im upon getting into my first racing event, it will fail to connect to s race and exit online. Corrupting my charcters save forcing me to over-write him/her. This has happed around five times so far, and during a few creations. When I name and finish the screen that displaying your charcter on s blue backround will not load and continue, making me quit the game. Charcter is not corrupted this way, untill entering the first races matchmaking again. . Hopefully , it beIing possible that my online character can be corrupted worrys me about playing into it any farther, that soon created charcter save corruption wount happen forcing me to restart at any point.

Same thing has happened to me. Make character, try to play the character, lose the character due to corruption.

 

My adivce: stop. Play the single player for a few hours and try again. Same problem? Leave it until tomorrow morning. Sooner or later R* will fix this. Can't do anything about it until then.

Having this same exact issue, and everytime it fails I begin to care less and less about what my characters settings are, or looks like.

 

This whole character thing is completely unnecessary in my opinion.

 

Wtf is the point of setting up grandparents on mothers and father side, then what your mother and father looks like? Why is this even in the game. And then the whole lifestyle settings, sleep? really?, sitting on the couch time?

 

It should just be sign in, select what your character looks like, select age I guess, ethnicity, hair, skin tone etc etc...done! Now lets play online.

 

I keep feeling like this game is turning into The Sims but with criminal activity and shooting and killing.
