Did you join through the single player start menu ->online tab, by pressing X while loading or by selecting the bottom piece of the character selection pie?

I went to settings, online, and then selected to play an invite only game.

 

I don't even have that option...

 

I keep trying to connect to GTA Online, but it'll always say that it wasn't able to host any servers, and I'll switch back to Micheal, who will have just dropped off a member of his family or be leaving Richards Majestic Studio, and I'll always receive a text from Marnie (and I'll get duplicates of the same text from her so goddamn annoying).

 

I'm glad that this isn't a problem for everyone.

 

EDIT: Okay, the option was underneath the ONLINE tab. I just clicked "Play GTA Online", and I get either "Go", "Invite Only Session", "Crew Session [#]", "Closed Crew Session", "Closed Friend Session", and "Solo Session".

You can even set your expressions too! Wow. Also, found my first glitch, a player died while robbing a store, I went to take his car, and it started flashing and disappeared, I became invisible as a result.

When I start the game on Xbox, it gives me an option to join online by pressing A. Cloud servers are all down at this moment, but I was lucky to on and awake at 5 am central when I received the update and was then able to log in for about an hour and a half before everything shut down. Currently, only disc content is available with no saves.

The game is working fine now, in a full match with 16 people, they're talking clearly and everything. This is great. Heading to rob a store for Lamar, just bought some clothes from that binco place near Franklin's house.

Bah, whenever I start an invite only or a solo game my character walks to the race marker immediately after which I get an error "Failed to join job or activity. Return to GTA Online". So I press continue hoping to free roam. Nope. I then get an error saying "There has been an error joining a session. Please return to GTA V".

sh*t.

 

At least I no longer have to watch that intro.

This is usually how every single launch goes. First, no consoles can connect, then xbox can fully connect while PS3 is still having absolutely no luck. I guess there's a reason why Xbox Live costs money and PSN is free..

Not sure about body armor, but you can equip a helmet at any time from that menu. I currently one police looking helmet. (Like the police bikers use) It's called "White Open-Face Helmet. I currently don't have enough money to buy body armor, got 3 stars for robbing a store and killing a cop on the way out. See if I can buy stuff from my bank account.

Body armor does infact show up on characters, atleast with some of the clothing.

 

However as for the amount of clothing options, don't get to excited, a VERY big majority is just reskins, and alot are not very good ones.

You will probably steal the first decent ride you see to get you on your way, but you will get a wanted level the moment the cops see you in the stolen vehicle.

No problem, I can't garauntee I didn't make a couple of mistakes with GTA V SP, I was rather ecstatic to have it lol. Anything you guys want to know about GTA:O just ask, I'm heading over to ammu-nation to see if body armor shows over a suit shirt. (You know, those expensive suits that michael wears? Just take off the jacket part, that's what I'm wearing.)
