Cyper
I was just in an accident and my car flipped over flat on the roof. What did I do? I held the analog stick and flipped it up on the side. Then I decided to flip it back on the roof again. On the side again. On the roof again. And then finally I decided to flip it up on the wheels. Then I drove away. Seriously, this is just to dumbed down, or accessible if you want. It was also possible in previous GTA games but that often requires good timing because certain amount of momentum was needed in order to do it. You couldn't flip it up from standing completely still. But in GTA V you can stay flat on the roof and flip it over. I also noticed that the cars seems to have very little weight to them. I used a sport car as and it performed like a offroad vehicles. I did huge jumps and the car was flying all over like if it was made out of plastic. Doing 15-20 meters jumps and then landing on the wheels does little to no damage. But kicking cars, or using a baseball bat on it, does more damage. Edited October 1, 2013 by Cyper

cjkuhlenbeck
I've been doing this since the game came out and it is funny/sad/pathetic. What happened R*? Wasn't Rockstar's fault. It was the kids who whined to get their parents to buy the game, and then sent dozens of butthurt emails to Rockstar complaining "It's too hard D:" They not only dumbed down the driving, but the aiming and the cops too. It's almost against the rules to make a game that requires any skill now.

AnEvilVet
Why is everyone getting butthurt over everything in this game? Just f*cking enjoy it for what it is rather than what you f*cking wished it was. It's still fun!

Bertanius
Actually, every III era games allowed you to roll a vehicle back over, but you had to be quick as it would catch fire shortly after. In GTA IV, vehicles could only roll back over if they were on their side, if they were upside down, you couldn't roll it over by turning. In GTA V, since the handling is more arcade, you can flip a vehicle over when it's upside down, very silly if you ask me, I always thought they would perfect this, and also perfect the 'wheel-snapping', but neither have been fixed. Oh well, I guess we will just have to deal with weird physics, or if you want, act like you can't roll the vehicle over (although a vehicle on its side seems to automatically roll back upright). itsM7md and UltraGizmo64

I'm ok with the flipping the car over though, if you were out in the middle of no where and you landed on your roof it would suck to have to run for ages to get to a car... And if the cops were chasing you, you'd be f*cked. What does piss me off and is a really childish addition is the rotating your car so it can land on 4 wheels while in the air, and they almost force you to use it by making cars instantly explode if they dont land on their wheels. I could handle it if the cars rocked back and forth a bit when you break/accelerate in the air but not a ton. After your car leaves the ground it should be out of your control. Then you get rewarded by lining up the jump correctly and hitting it at the right speed and punished with a crash if you do it like an idot. This game no longer punishes you for being an idiot, there is always some cheap ass way to correct a poor decision, noobs and children can now perform just as good as reguar players, its a shame. Patriot_Action
This is one complaint I actually agree with (and I'm not one for whining). This is objectively "dumbed down," (as opposed to subjective arguments about things like driving control in general). I thought the way IV did it was fine. If you had some momentum, you could get a car to roll one way. If it's pinned on its side or upside-down, you're f*cked. I understand why they did it, and it's definitely more player-friendly (to prevent people from losing fancy or mission-critical vehicles if they flip it), but it's too extreme in my opinion. I feel the same way about controlling the tilt of a car in the air (I assume it's pretty much the same mechanic responsible for both). It's comical that I can literally flip a car over completely while it's airborne, with no momentum from takeoff. Combine this with up-armored vehicles and we're unstoppable in police chases until you bend your car's axle or wheel, making it undriveable, or an eagle-eye cop snipes you. I don't think it's game-breaking, but it just feels silly. Edited October 1, 2013 by Patriot_Action

ll rdny ll
In past gtas did you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to upgrade your vehicle just to flip it and have it be useless? Sure, SA had customization, but it also had way more ways to make large amounts of money.

How about, don't do it, you are not forced to do it, this feature is for the people who don't want to leave their car upside down on the train tracks. The need to get attention to your "issue", that you go on the forum, bother creating a thread, writing out long text, on a "dumbed down" feature, THAT IS OPTIONAL. Well f*ck you, and a have a nice day.

The only ones without skill here are those on "your side".

Finn 7 five 11
If you don't want to roll the car back over, then don't, I thought the feature was silly at first as well, until I remembered how annoying it was to have to steal another car because you get a wanted level even if nobody sees you. It's just a nifty convenience that not everyone has to use, it doesn't divide the community in any way so it doesn't matter, am I right?
