Addikti
Ok, exhaustive testing, hours of driving, flying etc on PS3. It definitely isn't placebo any more. Similar findings do exist and they're easier to spot if you've managed the controls and clocked a lot of hours in the game before the update. Progressively less turn depending on speed. At fast speeds it's like pushing bricks with feathers. Such aggressively limited turning is typical for digital, ie. keyboard control. Steering centers more slowly. Again a typical feature for keyboard control. It smooths out the sort of impulses keyboard players use for precision turning. You need to anticipate every change of direction and let go in advance. Neither have any business in analog control and have reduced fast driving to small jabs on the stick instead of smooth movement. It's cr*p. Cars at and above moderate speeds (by moderate I mean a lot faster than downtown traffic) are less tail-happy, but more prone to spinning beyond control once you manage to lose some grip. Slower bikes feel slightly easier to control. Don't know if the same changes in driving mechanics apply to bikes. Faster bikes, can't tell the difference. Low vehicle camera angle is lower. I initially found myself adjusting the viewpoint while driving until I realized I'm not seeing as I used to. The high angle is preferable for cruising (I use to hood cam for races / whenever I need to drive really, really fast) but it's not suitable for precision flying, so I'm switching it back and forth. Exaggerated turbulence with planes. The episodes seem to be more frequent and sometimes last longer than they used to. It makes under-bridge flight trickier, but it doesn't really affect rest of the game, unless you were already having trouble landing. Helicopters are all over the place, just as before. Can't sense a difference. To me they're just as little fun (and of use) as before. Frame rate issues. Pre-update the game is smooth nearly all of the time. If it's due to a possibly increased viewing distance then it's something I'm unable to notice. Sucks. I'm staying pre-update since I have reached the "just have some fun" stage of the game. Fun is all I want to have.
Gdog
the game feels more buggy and glitchy compared to the the release build. what the f*ck? i swear there is more texture/model pop in. frame rate looks doesn't look as smooth. car saving is still f*cked up. police still rape you. GTAO is actually more fun...i can't believe i'm saying that. they've cut a lot of stuff out of V and made it exclusive for GTAO. the only thing i don't like about GTAO is the missions, parts of the UI, the dead city (hardly any peds/vehicles or animals) and the odd lagging cars/players. all these things aren't issues in SP. i wish rockstar would just patch the SP and give V all the features they kept for GTAO. GTA V would be so damn close to perfect if they did. Edited October 3, 2013 by one55
