Can't even get a start

I started up my gta online character and after watching the intro I was told to do I race so I went to the marker but it didn't want to start up.So I restarted the game only to find the marker is gone completely and I'm pretty much stuck with nothing to do and Lamar telling me to get that way.I hope this bug will be fixed,I really want to get things going.

Ya I don't know why R* made a race for the first thing you have to do for online play. Very very stupid...Now most the world is stuck on this race and servers overloaded. The players that got past this race are lucky sob's lol.

 

I can't stand races to begin with if I wanted a racing game I f'in buy one ffs.
