How fast internet connection for Online?

Download speed isn't your problem, it's your upload, I average just under 3.0 and can play online with people in the us with minimal lag, and I'm in Australia.

people focus too much on download speed but for gaming the upload speed is just as important.

 

i pay for a 10mbs downstream and 2mbs upstream, did some steaks in the router and now i get 14mbs down and 3mbs up, with a ping under 20.

 

i have played with people of japan, brazil, australia, france, italy, etc etc with no lag!
