The title is how I imagine 90% of the forum reacting right now. Either because they cant access GTA Online, or because they CAN access it, but it sucks balls because of texture popping, beetlejuice characters, firetruck water, and whatever the hell else.

 

 

Keep all your complaints and venting about the online mode in this thread. Any other thread will be binned.

They said there will be over 700 missions, but so far, all the missions have just been gameplay modes (deathmatch, races, new cops n crooks, etc.)

 

Seems like calling them "missions" was a bit misleading.

Gameplay sucka, lousy graphics, cars just dissapearing... This was really bad :/ Not a lot to do, I was looking forward to planing heists with friends

1. They make you wait over two weeks for online

2. Once they allow you to play online they dont allow you to play online

 

How can you miss the most obvious point?

 

They made over one billion in the first three days of sales.

They were also "expecting servers to overload".

Doesnt that tell you something about their company morals.

 

Hell, even I could rent a server for £11 per month and on battlefield its about £40 for three months i think.

 

So, they literally have no excuses.

 

GTA V sold the most copies ever on record so what were they expecting when it came to online. Oh wait, they were "expecting servers to overload".

 

How dumb can these guys be? If they expect it why didnt they get more more damn servers?

So, can anyone tell me if it is just me, or if everyone is getting "Timed out" when they try to play a "job"? The host is about to start the thing, but then I get timed out and end up getting logged out of Online.

I could care less about the servers, I just don't want my character to be look like half man/ half gorilla. I'm very disappointed, character customization is what I was looking for the most.

Once you rank up etc you will get missions from like Lamar and other characters.

I get what you are saying, but this has happend to every MMO, yet they all have know they will have loads of traffic on launch day. Why? I guess the reason is to see if the servers they already have can handle the traffic. In a day or a week it will be good, like it has been with every other MMO that's out there. Edited by Forzum

I've played the first race mission three times now and then it kicks me. my save data is then 'corrupted' and i lose my character. Having to start again!!! not impressed R*...

2020 you sound like an 8 year old. how many servers do you think it takes to hold million of people and run smoothly with no problems. and if you wait 2 weeks for MP, why not a wait another hour or 2

Why, oh why did Cockstar not think ahead before turning on their sh*tty cloud servers?

 

I'm sure they knew the demand was going to be this high, and they have more than enough money ($1,000,000,000>) to buy additional servers, there is no excuse this time!

Why waste money buying servers to meet initial demand when you work in an industry where at least 30% will play it once, decide its not for them and never play again. The number of people who will permanently quit because the servers are slow on day 1 when the most people ever will be trying to use them is negligible. Rockstar is at its heart a business and as such must make business decisions.

I get a message saying I've been kicked by players while in free roam, though I have interacted with no one.

I rejoin to a message that tells me I've left during a mission and that, if I continue doing so, I'm a bad sport.


Continuing, what happened to 16-person servers? Crew and I are limited to 8.
