GTA Online Technical Issues

I FINALLY BROKE THROUGH! After hours of frustrating and trying to get past the first race mission I finally got through it and completed it. Now my game isn't glitched out anymore and I can play online! Idk if this will help, but I started the game up and then just started online straight from the loading menu. I unplugged the controller and let it go through the loading process when you get to the marker and select your car. I put my battery back in my controller and for the first time ever it worked lol! Hope this helps, but it may have just been random luck.

 

Playing on the xbox 360 btw.

 

I actually got some progress with this method as well.

 

Lol I got all the way through the race with this method and then I got stuck on some screen after I finished the race. I could hear people talking and cars and stuff, but couldn't do anything... I thought I made it too...

What's all this "It works ok for Xbox" rubbish?

I restarted my Xbox about 942 times last night, and managed to scrape through to the end of the drug bust tutorial... After hours of infuriating BS, freezing, crashes and 'server not available,' crap. Rockstar said there would be issues so fair enough, let's just hope it all gets fixed up pretty quick smart ay! My bits are crossed! (Ouch)

If only there was a chance of this on PS3 Roboteknik. I haven't heard of one PS player who has finished the first tutorial, and searching for players very early on in the piece has been the best result.

Since you can actually do all that, compared to Ps3, yes, the online on xbox works. Ps3 users can't even do the intro mission.

Why not have a separate "mode" for online tutorial, like most shooters instead of having to use online server space? Have like a menu section that has a separate campaign, onlne, or tutorial...than one you complete tutorial, u can join the actual online!?...gay ass sh*t rockstar.

I can get into the spot with the racer marker but I auto walk to it. I normally get failed to host session but instead of going to the character wheel press pause and go to online and pick closed session or single session. That is if you just want to mug people and level a bit. And if you've already done the first race as it will try to find people to join but can't because of the type of session

 

that's the mad logic to this. I noticed the number of racers for the first Lamar mission in the lobby is only 1-2 ppl, yet everyone keeps spawning there.

 

You can't access the online game features until you pass this freaking thing so you're pretty much stuck until they get around to fixing it.

 

Can't understand how R* missed anticipating this coding glitch?

I woke up at 7am this morning to play GTAV online. I've been looking forward to it for years. I took the day off from work 2 weeks ago the second I found out when the release will be. I've been trying to get online for hours. I've been waiting patiently.

 

YOU f*ckING 12 YEAR OLD fa**otS NEED TO STOP BASHING R*

 

They gave us a motherf*cking incredible game, with a huge map that's incredibly fun to explore. With a captivating addicting storyline, tons of cars and addictions, EVEN A f*ckING GODDAMN JUMBO JET.

 

This game is incredible. I am not a R* fanboy. I hated GTA4. But this is the best game I've ever played.

Rockstar said last night they are "Continuing to buy servers but the mass demand of the game is exceeding the available readiness for the servers"

THE TOLD US THIS WOULD HAPPEN. THEY ARE TRYING.

Stop acting like this is some giant conspiracy you f*cktards.

 

The last thing R* wants is for people to STOP PLAYING. If they're this greedy corporation who intentionally did this on purpose then they're goddamn idiots. Why would they turn down an oppurtunity to make money?

 

Servers are complicated.

I'll put it simply.

Imagine you need to drink a lot of your favorite douchebag energy drink.. Lets say "Rockstar" for this example.

 

You need to drink an entire cup of it every second. So You need more straws right? But the amount of straws you need surpass the size of your mouth. So You need to buy mouth extensions now right? But now your throat doesn't have the suction power necessary for the incredible goddamn liquid demand you suddenly have. So you need a new throat. And new lungs. And then the demand gets BIGGER so, while you're trying to biologically enhance your ability to adapt to this situation, THE DEMAND KEEPS GROWING.

 

YOU f*ckING TWATS NEED TO GIVE ROCKSTAR A CHANCE, STOP TRYING TO LOG IN, WAIT AN HOUR, THEN TRY AGAIN. STOP REPEATEDLY RAPING THE GODDAMN SERVER WITH YOUR GREEDY DICKS.

 

I took off for work. I lost sleep for this. I've been looking forward to this for 4 years. AND I'M NOT COMPLAINING. So go pick on your parents who bought this game, you greedy f*cking children. Not the company who lovingly made it for us.

Xbox live - I started my game in solo mode. Then pushing start going to online and choosing playing online solo game started up smoothly Lamar picked me up at the airport and went to the race I picked my car and the race started with just me and Lamar I finshed the race and then missions started to pop up I then went to the menu too look for my Xbox friends and it took me out of the game and put me in the map they were in, the only problem was there's didnt work so I couldn't invite them to any missions. This method worked for me, prior to this I would be stuck in the race mode and it would just say looking for players and just freeze on that page.
