GTA Online Technical Issues

Watched TV in my apartment, froze my game and xbox. Sigh.

 

Now, I wanted to send a hit squad against some prick who killed me for no apparent reason and watch the carnage on TV. Not possible now.

It's still saying the cloud is down for me on the PS3.. Soon be time to sell it and the PS3. Only reason I bought the PS3 when it came out was for GTA IV. Problem solved.

I had the same thing happen to me on sunday night on my PS3. I restarted and it was fixed.

Guys I have a really good feeling that we won't stop losing characters until Rockstar enables cash cards (Micro transactions). I mean it makes since after all the progress we lost with losing our characters by then we would be so desperate to catch up and purchase the cards. Idk just my opinion I think the character lost is being done on purpose by rockstar.

Dont keep accessing while the cloud servers are down. DO NOT hit retry. This is where the error is occuring. Exit to SP and try again only. That was from rockstar.

So when cloud is down, it's not down for good? You might actually get in if you keep trying from SP?

I'm able to get in online by spamming the retry button multiple times when it says the cloud is down. But when I'm in I can play smoothly for like 5 minutes, after that I'm not able to join friends' sessions, not able to join jobs because of game services being online, all I can do is free-roam then. Also, if I'm able to play a job, after the job you should get a vote screen right? I don't get one, I just see a small window at the bottom right corner with the time left, if it reaches zero I get the job failed to download message again, anyone experiencing this?

The PS3 servers seem(ed) good.

A little bit ago, I had no more connectivity issues (or at least I was able to connect to people, maybe not as many or as easily with a NAT type 3 but I was still able to play missions).

It took a bit sometimes to get in some actual gameplay and a lot of times it kept auto-invited the same epople over and over but I was able to play with a few other people.

 

This was an hour or 2 ago but it seemed good to me for the most part.

 

And trust me, when you do get to play it, it's AWESOME. Def. worth the wait.

When it all gets worked out, this will be one of my favorite MPs ever

I'm not sure if this constitutes a technical issue, but I was killed during passive mode just because some random guy who I never bothered put a 3000 dollar bounty on me. Are you sh*tting me? Why is this allowed? I did nothing to the guy!

Okay, so I was playing the other day, and I don't know how, nor what I did, but the big map that is up when you hit down on the D-Pad (Xbox) twice is ALWAYS on my screen. Pressing down doesn't work, I've restarted, turned off my xbox, gone to singleplayer, played other games, done missions, and its STILL there. It has been like this for a few days now, I wouldn't mind if I could see my health, but I can't see my health or anything on that little bar down there. Help?

XBOX issues - XBOX issues -XBOX issues

I often get 'Kicked by other players' message - and so do my 2 housemates. It's not people kicking us, it's the game. It happens too often to be people actually kicking us... It happens randomly, at any point... usually whilst loading, but sometimes when roaming in free mode.

I have had the 'slow car' problem too... During a mission. The car would not go over a certian speed.

The game often kicks you back to 1 player mode if a load fails - instead of back to Freemode online.

It's working heaps better than a few days ago, but still really slow to join online from single player, and I cringe every time I load a mission in fear of the load failing, which it often does.

Finally, there is a black 'Press A to return to GTAV' screen, the A button does nothing for about 1 minute... I initially thought this was a bug where the only resolution was to restart the XBOX, but if you are patient, after 30 seconds to a min (varies) 'A' actually works and re-loads single player (annoyingly not Online mode again...)

Other than that, everything works reasonably well now, hurrah!
