And what is the story with having 2 profile slots?

I don't think anyone has ever actually gotten a lost character back. I have lost 3 of them already. I'm afraid the characters are gone for good.

 

I still can't connect. Nothing works. Just keeps saying TIMED OUT LOCATING SESSION.

 

Its been too long. And they keep claiming it's fixed. Clearly it's not. This is frustrating.

Servers died yesterday around 6PM GMT2 and now again, are they shutting servers down on purpose at this time or is it the other side of world waking up to play GTA?

Ok here's a MAJOR update on my status. I was finally able to log on but after 15 minutes or so my guy just disappeared. So I waited for a couple of hours for him to come back, but nothing. So basically my guy is just gone after 15 minutes of learning how to play, and earning money and earning missions, Rockstar forced me to waste hours of my life just waiting around eating PF Changs and waiting for their STUPID game to load. I am DONE with this game. I will never see my character again and its not fair and it's all because Rockstar doesn;t know what the F they are doing.

Man, you love you some PF Changs, huh? Do you live right next store to a PF Changs restaurant or are you talking about the frozen microwave sh*t they produce?

I live really close to PF Changs. I eat there pretty much every meal, every day.

I really like it because it tastes so good, the only problem is that it makes me really constipated and then every 3 or 4 days I have a large bowel movement.

But because of all these problems with GTAonline my whole routine is messed up and I am seriously feeling sick. I am thinking about maybe suing R* if they don't get their act together soon. Most of us have legitimate reasons to sue them over this. First of all we paid them our money and they made promises that they couldn't keep. I will sue them for the cost of the game as well as my time and any more punitive damages that I may incur as a result of R*'s blatant carelessness toward their customers.

Why can't anyone wait it out they did say it would have problems which it's obvious it does. I laughed at the dude expecting to be reimbursed they've done nothing wrong, they warned us and the glitches were worse then expected. But they're working on them. I just wait till the servers are up in the mean time I do other things it's not difficult tbh.

I played the whole day today from 09:00 - 16:00 non stop, rank 18 now amd switched off for 2 hours, now its down again wtf!!!!

this is becoming very annoying now... i like to play when i can and want to play, not when Rockstar think i should be able to play...

They have also posted mutiple updated telling us that everything is fine and has been corrected. And, we all should be good to go. Which clearly is NOT the case.

I honestly don't think people would mind playing a glitch full game but getting your character removed while you're sleeping kind of kills the experience, like in my case.

 

Really hope they fix that ASAP

It all comes down to how much are you willing to wait for the game. It is obviously broken at the moment, and loggin on right now is risky because you can lose your progress so it comes down to one question; How long are you willing to wait for GTAO?

 

I think that the concept is great. I can see myself playing this game for a long time once it's fixed so I'm not going to get upset over it. I understand how it can be frustrating but what's the point of getting angry about it? Play another game, do something else. This game is worth the wait. Rockstar is trying to fix the issues, and are keeping us posted which is way more than what other game companies do, like Ubisoft.

Baffles me that people back them up.

All boils down to one thing, their game online, doesn't work. They did not anticipate how many games they would sell? are people buying that? GTA after 4 years? wow.

Spent a good hour or so last night playing the game, only 30 minutes of it was trying to get online, 10 trying to join a friend and a further 20 minutes totally wasting my F**king time as none of the data was saved.

Boasted about $1bn sales, a week without a working online is not good enough.

I may add that they have made a good game offline, but due to this generation of gaming, who cares about offline, its online where the fun is at. Unless your a sad lonely blobby with no internet nor friends,

Its not going to work. Same thing happened yesterday also, nothing changed when cloud came back up. Also Cloudservers are online for both PS3 and Xbox360 now, so the characters is truly gone.
