Games broken... Got to level 15 and my character got deleted cus of a load screen what a piece of sh*t game.

Notice that only the guys that the online actually work for are saying stop complaining while they sit and play GTAV Online. I hope they have bad luck ahead of them like there character getting deleted. Oh yeah they say "get a life" even though they been on for the past three hours while I sit at a job. I agree with this other guy over here. All the people that re saying stop complaining are playing the game and they have nothing to complain about. But I have not said one negative word and I've been patiently waiting for my PS3 to load for the past 15-16 hours. All the people complaining about people complaining need to get a life, and quite frankly these people are nothing but stupid jerks in my opinion. And the people complaining about the game not working also need to get a life. I mean, come on guys enough. Let's just post our ideas of how to get things to work without being so negative to eachother.

Can we all stop lumping tons of people into big groups like this? Not everyone who can't play is complaining about it, and not everyone online is being a dick about it. I have had absolutely zero issues on ps3 since yesterday morning, no corrupted files, no deleted characters, and no game crashes once I got past the first race. I can even log off and log back on hours later and pick up right where I left off.

That tells me that the game in NOT sh*t, and that there is a very bright light at the end of the tunnel.

The game will be f*cking amazing once everyone can play with each other, just try and be patient.

For what it's worth, I am only a lv 8, and the only advantage I would have over other players is that I have an Uzi and a 3/5 driving skill.

Attempt: 10:16am Est

 

No game play. Made it to a "loading" screen with a blurred city in the background. I let it load for over 30 minutes then just turned the ps3 off. Horrible music was playing and I had to mute it. No buttons on controller worked.

 

Will try again tomorrow.

I was the odd ball out with my crew members Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.

 

Wasn't untill last night I could play for a very long time (new character of course) but jumping in and out of jobs

worked like a charm. I didn't come into one problem at all...

 

Don't know if it will remain this way, i load up by going to the character selection screen, that way usually gets me in a game problem free.

This is exactly what I am talking about. You are telling people not to complain but you have been playing non stop and have had no issues. Well try to think about how other people feel who have had their PS3's loading for close to 20 hours just waiting to play. You are rubbing it in my face tht you can play and I can't and I think that is just disgraceful. I hope that Rockstar bans all the people who are playing now and essentially ruining it for other people who can't even log on.

I'm on PS3. Thought I'd try the online because I saw my crew was playing. Finally made a decent guy, tutorial loaded fine, got some new clothes and found a decent car. Thought I'd quit the game and just see if my file would be there when I re-booted, it was gone.

 

I can't imagine people playing for most of te day and then quitting only to find their data gone. I'd be very pissed. Be careful, even if it's loading stuff. When you quit, you're stuff may be gone. Had fun with it though. This is going to be awesome when all the bugs are worked out.

Hey guys, finally got onto online, did the first race and the next mission, set up a car etc and was having a great time, but every time I try to do a Job it boots me. I tried to do the first team death match and I got into the game, was sprinting for an uzi and then boom, I get this huge LOSER screen not even 10 seconds into the game. One team randomly won, the other three lost and everyone is confused. After selecting the next event that everyone wanted to do, I randomly get booted out back to single player. When I rejoin online it says I left during a job and am on my way to becoming a bad sport... this has happened three times now, with the same insta lose and then boot during the launch of the next match. Anyone having a problem similar to this?

Lost everything for a second time now. I might just leave it for a bit, in the hope that it come back. I don't want to save anything else in case it counts that as my save now.

For the record, I have now made it to a rank 8 TWICE and then lost it all after I rebooted when the game froze in bird's eye view. The first time it saved my $8000, I'm hoping this time it doesn't forget my $22,000!

Nowhere in my post did I say stop complaining, I completely understand how much it sucks, I have not been playing non-stop (I am in college and I have sh*t to do, just like 95% of people in this thread), and I am not rubbing it in. If it comes off that way then I apologize. I am simply trying to show people that there is light at the end of the tunnel. As for banning people who can play already, that's just plain spiteful if not completely illegal.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a quick update on my situation. After almost 20 hours of loading I decided to turn my PS3 off, Then I went to make a sandwich while I waited for it to cool down. Well anyway then I decided to unplug my PS3 from the wall and just wait. So I just had a couple glasses of water and another sandwich. Probably in like 10 minutes I'll plug it back in and try to re-load the game. I will keep everyone updated.

Well I apologize too, I am just so disappointed that I can't play. I have been waiting patiently and I havent said one negative thing to anybody and it just feels like all the people who are playing are having such a great time. Hopefully I will be able to log on soon so I can fly the blimp into the water

Have never played GTAV Online xBox yet. I get into the car for the first race, and then I get into the car AGAIN for the first race. Says 'waiting for players' forever. I have to quit to the xBox dashboard and restart the game.

I played it and ragequitted because it's broken on so many levels. I think I have the right to complain.

Just come back to find my $50,000, Rank 10 character that i had spent 5 hours with earlier...missing/ deleted.

 

The cloud servers were up when i was doing it and the saving icon was always keeping up with me. It just doesn't make sense...Very disappointed with it.

i get it buddy, just gonna have to wait it out. i assure you it will be well worth the wait. i honestly wouldnt care if R* reset my stats, its not like i have any real advantage at the moment... its not like there is going to be an army of tanks and assh0les with miniguns right when R* sorts it all out. as i said, i am only lv 8, you cant buy the minigun till lv 120 >.<

I think that there won't be a "fast fix" about all this problems. I'll just keep playing SP until all the problems are solved, cause I don't feel like spending time creating characters and doing missions and then loosing everything for some problem with the bloody servers.

 

I have to say, though, that I am a bit disappointed with Rockstar, I mean, all this budget and they can't have an Android app or some proper servers on time? I am patient, I'm sure they will solve all the problems and everything is going be great, but... sh*t, it's ridiculous.

So.. It seems (to me) like they're trying to make it look better?
The menu for the loading screen is now different but I still can't get past the racing with Lamar!

You can make everything look better after, online is up and running smoothly.

I get that it's probably hard to fix something like this but instead of putting all your time in to the look of the game menus fix the game play first?
