Been at work all day, but I was able to play last night for about 3 hours without any issues. Of course, that was after the tutorial which took about an hour due to it searching for other players and freezing. Going home to check it out soon.

Lol @ occasional. It's now been pretty much seven hours or so straight without nothing but Cloud Servers unavailable. Haven't been checking it all the time but every time I have checked, the same thing. And the sucky part is BAWSAQ is down too so I can't do the thing I'd like to in single player either

Correct me if I am wrong, but I have noticed that if the braswaq is running in story mode, my online has launched properly, that is until I do the first mission, then it times out.

Got to your Storage in your Settings menu and select the Hard Drive and press Y (i think, might be X) and Clear Catch.

If you are playing or have played I wouldn't bet on anything you're doing right now being 'safe'. They should wipe the systems once they are fixed so everyone starts at the same point. lol now that would cause a whine fest.

So much hatered, be patient people - the servers going down was coming eventually with how many people are going online. It says the Rockstar cloud so I don't think it matters which console your on.

 

Rockstar even clearly stated online problems are inevitable, and will be delt with to the best of their abilities as they arise...

online problems are inevitable. I don't consider a problem is a complete crash across both platforms on launch.

 

Now if they said they expected a "catastrophic" failure in which 98% of people would be unable to play (and keep their saves) would be inevitable.... then no one could be angry.

 

I'm seriously not angry. Actually, kinda "ironically" amused at this point. But the customers have a reason to be upset.

I was getting very frustrated at first with my character being deleted 7 times. I thought maybe i forgot to save the first 5 and then I made sure I saved and it still deleted it the other two times. it would be nice to know an exact date and time this problem is fixed because I mean seriously I'm sure all of us have wasted these past two days of online release raging, we could be doing more productive stuff with our time rather then keep guessing if it's going to work this time or not. I've never even seen a company that had problems at release not release a time on which the game would be playable....

It really surprises me that people are okay with this. I'm all for being patient, but this is bad.

I would find it so f*cking funny if they announced something went horribly wrong, all their backups corrupted and they can't release a fixed version of GTA V Online and just gave out.

Anybody know Why my charactor with his unique name and his cash He made for a little while Tuesday evening, has completely dissapeared, all Im getting is "Cloud Servers are not working at present", only disc play is posssible, with no save function?

 

Then a few minutes after that, Reopened online mode as solo, and expected to be taken back to the start of some race, "The mall or nothing", however, instead of that It takes me to a blue screen with slots for characters, But I already have one, and its missing, On top of this, GTA V online crashed My virgin Internet so bad, it stopped working, I had to ring up Virgins Customer service and tell them i had no Internet service, they had to reset my whole broadband at there end because when GTA5 online, disconnected me from playstation network it corrupted the Gateway or something, that my Internet has to pass through, I was simply shocked to be told by them, "Dont try connecting to GTA5 online until its developers say its clear of online corrupt data, or some thing to that effect", or the same thing will happen.

 

I have lost all interest in this awful game, its packed up to go back to Amazon tommorow, citing, its not playable/multiple software issues with game play, like lost money, lost cars with mods from safe garages, and even 3 cars piled up on top of each other in franklins garage, and online mode causes Internet connection failures. I really am sad, but Im not keeping a £40 game I paid for if its actually corrupting my ISP server, when it crashes

Another failed attempt of the tutorial race, saying it's waiting for other players for 15 minutes straight, then going into launching session for one hour. I am gonna wait this one out and hope rockstar will get their f*cking asses on that info page about when this annoying stupid idiotic logicless issue is over. Well, I posted before I was in, I was,(ps3 in Florida) I joined the offline mode, it put me in the game, where before it froze at of just after the first race blue ring, this time it dropped me into to world, I was able to do a race by myself, very boring, and explore the world, new cars galore , I got bored of walking around with nothing to do , so I stole a car, unable to shake 2 stars at all, so finally dying, and getting bored, I tried to join a match, FROZE instantly. I can tell they are working on it. It's frustrating. At this point I have to say, why the f*ck didn't they just wait and get this right for such a massive launch.... I know it's been said , but god damn it

As an Android user, it upset me that I wasn't able to do other things with the iFruit app. But I wasn't exactly angry because I knew I could get around it and play. It was just a benefit that I felt completely left (approx) 3/4 of their fan base in the wind. I understand that they say that the reason for not having the iFruit app in time on Android was due to the different OS versions out there. The kernel issues were one thing. With the amount that they made (and stood to make at the time of development), most companies would hire more programmers to deal with that issue. But we still don't have it.

 

On top of that, they knew that there could possibly be issues occurring with the servers/online gameplay due to the amount of players. When opening sales numbers first came to light, and how they boasted about the multiplayer gameplay and the vast environment (that they have the right to be proud about), they should have immediately looked at the equipment they had, knew the amount of data that each server could supply, and taken care of the problem. After first week of sales figures came out, servers should have been purchased. Bottom line. "Better to have too much than too little." Then if you have "server" issues which are "inevitable", that will be lag spikes or an issue with the random server down. Not a complete F. You! haha

 

Like I've said, I don't hate R*..... just their business practices. Remember.... this game has been in development for over 5 years.... all scenarios of "what can go wrong" should have been looked at and dealt with.
