I know this isn't the Troubleshooting page, but it's better to warn people about this here before it happens as people won't read the glitch page until it's already happened, and it is preventable if you've aware of it.

 

To keep this spoiler-free, I'll be brief. More info can be found on the 'Negative Money! Help' topic in the GTA V > Troubleshooting page.

 

If you haven't yet completed the game, make sure that you don't leave your account with negative money. This can happen if you buy stocks until you have less than $100 left. At one point you give someone $100, which then puts you into a negative balance. At this point, you may not be able to receive any payments from businesses or even sell your stocks. The only way you can get money is to mug people in the street. Do this as soon as possible.

 

I hope it doesn't happen to you as it has done for me and numerous others as it has essentially left one of my characters unplayable.
