I've wanted to ask the ones who already are playing online if they all have GOLD accounts , because i cant seem to connect ...

Yup you need a Gold account, i went out and bought some today, couldnt connect to social club features until i got some live also

Yeah, gold is required. Though I would suggest waiting a while, like maybe a day or two as the servers are spazing out and disconnecting players every couple of minutes.
