GTA: Online - First Impressions

I have to agree that the character creator just doesnt work so well.

 

You start out trying to reach some invisioned goal, and then you just hope the randomness turns your character into something acceptible.

Graphical tears everywhere.

Been waiting 15 minutes for the first race to launch.

 

In all it is look like a piece of sh*t, actually worse than my fears :s Going to give it more than this first impression obviously, but if I were just answering what my first impressions were they aren't remotely good.

Maybe people will realize that you can notice flaws in design before actually trying the game out. All the wait and see claims people have made feel pretty hollow now, stuff like this shouldn't have gone through >.<

Game is unplayable for me, when i'm launching online, my character walks into a race marker and i cannot stop him. Game freezes at loading session, HUD disappears, buttons doesn't work... wtf is this.

It's almost as if concerns by people that like the franchise were validated and should have been made a bigger concern for Rockstar. But w/e who cares if we are all playdol looking mother f*ckers, if you don't want any negative views on certain aspects of a game don't go on a place were things are discussed instead of blindly praised.

Quite glad I've got work and can't play it for another 6 hours. Wait until the servers die down a bit. What did you expect? Millions of people just signed in and tried to play it all at once, of course there's going to be problems you invalids.

so i waited and nothing happened so i went and stole a car, lost the cops (no map) and then went back and still couldn't join a race. went back to xbox dashboard and then went back into the game and now "your charactor could not be loaded servers are unavailable right now"

Ha, I just completed the first race after having to reboot my system because it was in an infinite loop, and right after the race my console locked up. This goes beyond server load for sure.

i finally got back in after hitting reload a bunch of times but now theres no race icon and i got a "saving failed, unable to connect to rockstar servers" on my phone, but hey at least the map now shows up lol

Guys chill Rockstar told us that everything will change when they hear feedback from us. And why are people doing races before their apartment etc lol

How is feedback going to help them fix their servers? Only time and money will do, we'll just have to wait until they allocate enough servers for everyone to be able to enjoy GTA Online.

 

EDIT: It's worth mentioning that even XBL is under server overload. Some times when loading the dashboard, it will say content is unavailable.
