I restarted my 360, the game numerous times, and still no update..

 

And I checked the online tab too like Technetic said and it still says 'when online goes live'.

if your on xbox restart it (turn it off and on) then start GTAV and it should give you the update

i cannot get passed loading the 1st race

Downloaded the update (XBOX) and the game froze (for the first time, ever).

 

I have reset my XBOX multiple times, and it continues to freeze on the loading screen with the 3 spinning icons.

 

Just friggin great. Can't even play offline mode now.

OKAY TIP FOR PEOPLE UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD/ACQUIRE UPDATE

 

 

Go to your system settings, to your memory/data storage, and then clear your cache.

 

I didn't think it would work at first but after booting GTAV it finally started updating! Hopefully that might help any other people with problems attributed to GTA:O and the update.

Got it here in Denmark.

Joined a race, but no one else was there, so ended up racing against Lamar/AI.

I couldn't play on after that race though (just got to a never ending loading screen)
