Wreck It Ralph Posted October 1, 2013 Share Posted October 1, 2013 By far my favorite thing about GTA Online compared to the SP is a great little addition they added to the game that helps tremendously. I dont even think they tell you how to do this in game. I discovered it by accident, but the sooner you figure it out the better. When you hit down on the D-pad it will show all the characters in your current session. If you hit down on the d-pad twice it will extend the mini map to about a 5th the size of the screen(transparent of course).This is amazing when fleeing the police because it allows you to see where the cops are located in a larger vicinity. Something as simple as knowing which way the helicopters are coming from can really save your ass.It also helps when trying to determine what other players are doing online, since pausing obviously leaves you vulnerable because your not really paused. It might sound like a stupid improvement, but it has to be one of the most valuable upgrades, and hopefully it translates to SP as well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you hit down on the D-pad in single player the mini map zooms out. But in GTAO the entire map gets bigger covering about a 5th of the television screen.
