Can I just mess around right now and make a name and everything that goes with it and then just have the option to edit everything?

Just launch the social club site and you will see a tab for Crews. Just sign in and you can create, edit and invite members to your crew

I must add that it was quite buggy for me when inviting people, it took a while for them to be able to accept and appear in the crew, but that was when Rockstar were having problems with it so it might be ok now
