why does that matter?

Because according to rockstar, when the PSN Store is updated today, the download will be available to activate GTAO.

 

"exact time GTA Online will be available but of course this is contingent on both Title Updates becoming available on each console’s network. As a general timeframe, we do expect the Title Update to become available on PSN and Xbox LIVE"

Yes and no, im not quite sure. But it seems like the update will become available once its been added to the PSN system, i can only assume they do that at the same time they do the PSN store update (anything else would be kind of silly)

Annoyingly , Im in the UK. i have checked the store ,which is indeed "Maintenance" ..sigh.. i have also read that,it will not go live until around 2 and 4pm My time. could they at the store ,have not done the maintenance through the night? after all..we were told GTA5 will be live around 7Am. grr..rant over..lookin forward to this when it eventually comes alive! :)

 

Btw..ps store "update day is a weds. Today is a tuesday.

If you live in the uk it was never going live around 7am your time, silly.

Ah, I wanted to make sure, b/c I'm playing lol, was gonna turn it off just to make sure I got the auto update, but if it was on psn, Id wanna know to go on there and get it.

The plan was xbox and psn update at 7am ET, so if the current maintenance on ps3 has already started thats way ahead of schedule. How long it will take Im not sure, but it doesnt usually take that long, 2-4pm your time would assume the maintenance started at 12-1pm your time, but since its already started, we might even get it before noon.

 

And they dont do PSN updates during the night, because they dont work during the night :p

Im hoping they are doing it early in the hopes of reducing server load because of GTAO

Gonna try too, but it doesnt look like the store is updated yet, might have just been a random patch.

Tried the store (which now works after update) and no gta5 dl. Confused.com. so i can only assume that we gotta keep guessin at what time its live! haha. *sigh*

I dont see any of the new stuff that was supposed to come out this patch either, so Im guessing that this was some patch to prepare for the updated store.

Playstation store only gets updated once every week and its not today.. GTAO only comes with an patch so when you start your game it downloads it

And if it was just a game patch it would be out by now, Rockstar has already said that its only up to Sony and microsoft now, its all in their hands to update the PSN/Xbox network.

 

It might be just a game patch ofcourse, but it still requires an update from sony or microsoft, and i can only imagine that beeing done as the same time as the PSN update.

No, but they did say it was all in the hands of sony/microsoft. And the only way they affect this in any way, is PSN/xbox updates
