saintsrow
I am playing on a refurb PS3 I got from Gamestop a few months ago. It's $200 bucks, which sucks, but you will probably spend that much in GTAV DLC and microtransactions in the next 6 months, so try to put it in perspective. Sorry for your loss. Sage Syx
Yeah but im limited on money and I cant justify getting one when ps4 is around the corner. Yeah the suicide sh*t is a joke Best advice as a cheap alternative, sell your ps3 and gta v copy at gamestop if you're a rewards member, buy a refurb 360 and used copy of GTA V, it's sh*tty but it's probably the best you can do if you're scrapped for cash. I'm a 360 user so I know how to worm around money issues with games.
CReaper210
That sucks, man. You must have the old fat PS3? Is it the YLOD thing? I have the fat PS3, that I specifically went out to buy because of the backwards compatibility, but I kept my slim PS3 just in case it ever breaks and I have to send it out to get fixed, I still have one. The fat PS3s have something wrong with them on the motherboard, something about low quality paste they used on it or something. I don't know much about it. Though I purchased GTA5 for my Xbox 360. Boozexlightyearxx
Questions: 1. Did it YLOD? Or blue ray stopped working? 2. Can you turn it on?

You can also fix YLOD with a hair dryer and following these steps,
novesori
remember how ps1s and ps2s lasted the whole generation? weird.. I have the PS3 40GB which I bought in a GTA IV Bundle, which works fine for me. For GTA V I upgraded it with a SSD, and GTA V runs very good on it in compare with a HDD (no pop-ups, much faster Character Change).
