How to get more cash early in GTAO

Wreck It Ralph

Ok, I have played GTA Online and Im going to give some tips for getting more cash early on in the game. It can be a grind like process but if you know what to do, you can get some serious dough.

1. Repeat Simeon Missions

You will get random jobs for Simeon that involve repo'ing vehicles. There is one that involves getting a 9F from the front of a hotel only about a mile from the shop. Missions have the options of difficulty, easy, standard, or hard. Hard gives you 1.5 RP so it cant hurt to do this on hard so you can also level up while you get cash. Its not really much more difficult than standard.

Drive to the hotel, get in the car and drive back to the shop as fast as you can. Security guards will chase after and shoot at you. You can kill them before you even get in the car but I find it easier to just drive away as the 9F loses them pretty quickly. After this mission you get RP and 1500(if my memory serves me correctly.) When the mission ends it will show a playlist of missions you can play next, or you can leave. At the bottom left you can replay the last mission and it will spawn you a block from the hotel. Lather, rinse, repeat, and you will have enough for a garage/apartment soon.

2. Robbing liquor stores.

Robbing convencience stores, which are now labeled on the map, is the quickest, but riskiest, way to get cash. You will get $1000-2000 per robbery but the cops are no joke online. Be sure to by a mask from the mask shop before doing a robbery. After you stick up the store, break line of site with the cops, take off the mask, and you will lose 1 star, except if you only have 1 star. Try to have a getaway plan for each store you go to. If you dont wait enough time between robbing stores you will get more stars. So 2 stars for the first robbery, 3 for the second, and so on. And always deposit after your robberies otherwise you could lose a big chunk of cash you earned dying at the next stick up.

3. Selling cars

This is a great feature that takes some know-how to fully take advantage of. LS customs will buy cars from you that you bring to their shop, at different prices depending on the vehicle. However you cant sell premium cars because they are "too hot." A premium car would be the 9F, carbinozzare, infernus, etc. High end vehicles. But there are a few vehicles that are just below the premium cut-off point that can give you a good chunk of change for selling them. The most notable car IMO is the Felon. Find this car and sell it to LS customs to get between 7800-9000 dollars. Try and keep it undamaged to get more cash for it.

After you sell a car to the custom shop you have to wait some time before they will buy another one from you. It seemed to be a full in-game-day, but Im not certain about this.

After you sell a car, go rob some stores, or do some missions until you can sell another one. Its a grinding process but this will be the best way to get cash early on.

Glad to hear you can remove masks as a means to lower stars

Cool fact, you can do the opposite as well.

You can put ON a mask when breaking line of site to lost a star hehe

From what you said it sounds like cops are even harder in online? I really hope not..

Glad you can take masks on and off, and selling cars is cool. I'm not sure we will be able to keep replaying a same mission though. I think R* said they would prevent people from replaying a mission over and over again.

They may end up fixing that, but it was possible. I think it will stay in for the early missions at least, because at the start of the game you dont have alot of options. Some races, some death matches, and only two people to do missions for. So you are bound to repeat them.

Some people had a hard enough time scraping together money for the game to begin with.

Not to mention alot of people like actually earning the cash, and being in game entrepeneurs

I agree that when you don't buy any cash with real money, it feels a lot more like you're getting rich off of your skill alone. Thanks for these tips by the way OP, especially that car sell tip, that's a huge boost to how I can make money fluidly while in the in-game world. One question for you however, are they putting any higher emphasis on jets and their use in multiplayer? Or are they in the same, difficult to get away with (especially online) spot in Fort Zancudo and that fort only? You may not know this yet so if not it's fine lol

No one I played with had a jet, or airplane for that matter, so Im not too sure. But myself and a few others managed to steal the laser from Ft Zancudo, which is no longer enterable by ground because the fence is permanently closed, as is the airport. I assume you unlock it.

I'm just glad that "abilities" are locked to rank as well as weapons so you won't run into the Bill Gates of Rambo's on the first day. Sure some people will immediately own the best pads or fastest starter cars, but at least we can grind to get to that level.

What's the best way to get RP?

Honestly? Im sure they will fix it, but I ranked up really quick by using a little work around. I went to one of the many races in online and triggered the lobby for it, Then I closed matchmaking, which you can do for any mission you enter. It wont let anyone join you. I set the laps to 1 and picked a motorcycle from the predetermines list, then I raced myself lol.

When I "won" I got 1900 RP, which is alot considering most missions give 1000-1500 early on. Then I just replayed the race over and over lol

Im wondering are the cops just perminent in gta online, no free mode without them, like in iv option to disable?? Not that i mind to much. I guess they gotta be on otherwise robbing places and committing crimes would be slightly dull. But they will be a pain in the @ss sometimes ;)

You were prob playing the beta version like the rest of the fansite people though I assume, so wouldnt be suprising if this had been changed.

Yea there wil def be some changes so things like that might be gone. But you get RP for doing missinos, and the mission in the OP gives you 1500 RP

Im pretty sure you cant turn off cops in GTAO.

You have to realize that its not like IV, where you go to a lobby just to get to liberty city. LS basically is the lobby, and the missions are spread around throughout the map to be entered when you want

Also I imagine you guys who tested it didnt get TO high in rep, I think its a safe bet that it would slow down considerably at higher ranks?

I don't like that. How do you adjust options that way?

I capped off at level 25, so yea Im sure it slows down.

I dont know what you mean polycount. Theres no options. When you start GTAO you switch to your online character just like the other SP characters. This initiates an online version of Los Santos, where other people are roaming around and playing. There is not option for this part of the game besides the standard options like controls and what have you.

The only method of removing cops that I know of is during races only. So that when your racing you can choose whether or not cops will chase you

That's exactly what bothers me. Not getting to choose options. I don't know why they would take a step back like that. They replaced the whole private lobbies with friends thing for the "seamless, persistent" world of GTA Online.

Sad. Maybe I still can play with just a couple buddies? Who knows.

Every race I create is gonna have the cops chasing....just adds more realism....can you make it so that there are no power ups during the race though? I don't like the mario cart style.

or you can just use 10 to 20 bucks and buy the cash cards that are there for you

Or maybe you could use that 10 to 20 bucks to take a part time course in hand-eye coordination, so you develop the skillset to earn virtual money like everyone else

...either that or a toddler color cookbook that educates you on elementary hue principles.

Thanks for all the wonderful info and tips, Wreck It Ralph. You are certainly lucky to have gotten the chance to play it early. ENVY!! But I guess I can wait a few more hours, since I need to sleep anyway lol.

The tip about selling cars is particularly useful. I would not have realized to do that for quite a while. I was slightly surprised that selling cars wasn't part of SP.

I also love that the masks have a practicality for lowering wanted stars in GTAO. It makes them more than just clothing or decoration. Hopefully they balance the harder cops with other things as well. I already find myself more squishy in GTA V compared to VC and SA lol.

It's good to know that they even put an option for cops/no cops in racing. It will be neat to try races with and without being chased.

Anyway, off now to slumber. I hope that I wake up to some online play. I might have a dream about GTAO in anticipation lol.
