Weird sub spawning behavior

This game is full of funny sh*t.

 

I was under water in the sub with trevor, then got out of the sub under water to scuba, and saw it float up and sit on the top of the water. I switched to Franklin who was just coming out of a bar in the middle of the city, and in the alley way directly beside him, was the sub.
