Just got back from my trip to New York to play GTA Online at Rockstar's event. Only a few hours until it is released but instead of writing an article on it I figured I would just answer your last minute questions before its launched.

 

Can one player give another player money without doing missions or heists?

Well you have to understand. It would be like letting you play GTA V for the first time for a few hours and then asking you if there are alot of banks at Paleto Bay.

 

Theres alot I havent unlocked, a lot I didnt get a chance to do, and alot I just cant specifically remember. But I have said quite a bit about the game and answered most of the members questions.

 

@Rgangsta: Yes you can! Its really cool. You go into your inventory, and select give cash, and then you select another player, and the amount. I think they have to be playing with you at the time for you to give them cash, but its really cool. Lots of ways to help your crew members out

What about weapons? Can you share weapons? Did you play any type of co-OP hiest with other players?

Im fairly sure you can share weapons, or at least ammo, but I did not actually do this while playing so I cant give specifics on how it works.

 

Every mission on GTAO is coop friendly obviuously. I did not reach the level necessary to start planning heists unfortunately, so I cant say how well put together they are, but I know for a fact that there are heist missions that you eventually unlock and can plan with other players

@gtaplayer3224563575: I cant confirm any of that. I dont think there are any collectible items like the SP letters in GTA Online. I briefly played around the prison, but it doesnt have interiors, just like in SP. I tried to trigger vigilante missions hoping it was added to GTAO but no luck, I also never saw a cops a crooks job. Not even the faintest idea about the UFO being in GTAO.

 

Remember I just scratched the surface, and the game requires you to unlock alot of features/missions, so some of these things might be included when you get higher ranked.

I cant really get into specifics for liability purposes(wierd I know) but we werent lanning. We were all connected to the internet playing live. There were people not at the event who had beta versions of GTAO that were playing with us.

 

Im kind of a loner so I wasnt communicating with anyone. I just played and would message people via the phone in game if I wanted to say something. I didnt know all these other guys and was there for the game, not to make friends lol

wow i like this idea - if someone steals your ride, you can see where it is on the map

In order to own a car in GTAO you have to get it fitted with a tracking device. When you leave it somewhere on the map, it will stay there. If someone steals it you will see where they are taking it.

 

The only time your car doesnt stay where you left it is if you leave it while wanted, then it gets impounded, and you have to steal it back. If you wait to long it get destroyed.

 

Getting the car back from the impound isnt easy either. The moment you jump the fence expect to eat bullets. I had a motorcycle impounded and it took me 4 tries to get it back.

This was confirmed a while ago - go to an ATM to deposit money if you don't want to lose it.

It's sounding weird tbh. Ultra realistic. Either way, I'm glad they branched the realism away from single player. Now both the people who are obsessed with realism and people who prefer III-era realism can be pleased with GTA. Already set up a session with a few people from my crew tomorrow, gonna be fuunnnn.

I dont think you can tbh. But maybe I missed that part as it seems logical.

 

I dont remember much about the jewelry or crew patches on your jackets. You can put your crew emblem on your cars though.

 

And when you are killed, you only drop a portion of your cash, not sure how much percentage wise it is.

 

YOU DONT NEED TO HIT THE ATM: You can deposit money through your phone, but its in fixed incriments. For instance, if you have $700 you will only have the options to deposit 500 and 50. So you will have to deposit the 500 and then 50 four times. At the ATM you can deposit all of your money

One thing I've been wondering is, are all vehicles purchasable? I'm just wondering, because they were saying how your mechanic online won't touch stolen vehicles. And in single player, as I'm sure you all know, only has maybe 25 vehicles or so to purchase.

I just want to be able to own the Sabre and Dominator for online, both of which are not purchasable in single player.

From everything you experienced, do you believe the whole concept of "GTA Online" is going to be as massive as Rockstar is making it seem?

Was the online atmosphere as intriguing as the naked eye sees it?

Hey man, could you clear up something about the safehouses for me?

 

I read you can only buy one safehouse online, if that is true, does that mean if I buy a cheap one at the start am I stuck with that one forever or can I sell it/move out and buy a better safehouse later when I have more money?

No, you can supposedly resell it later before buying a new one. ( Don't know if you get less for it then you bought it for )
