Plus i think with GTAO releasing today that R* have much more to be concerend about than wheter players should be allowed to sit on benches or not. saintsrow Posted October 1, 2013 Share Posted October 1, 2013 (edited) I want a sitting animation / choice in GTAV also, but given all the other many tiny touches they left out of the game, and the likelihood that they only patch bugs, not add features, I am 99.99% pessimistic about it happening. It's a shame -- they could have added sitting, and could have had a couple of missions (like one in LA Noire) where the player sits on a bench waiting stakeout for an NPC to leave a building or meet another NPC. Sitting anywhere is also consistent with the concept that a big, big part of GTA is the animation to sit in a car. The lack of sitting ability in normal free roam feels restricted to me, in the same way that pure racing games restrict you from getting out of the car to walk around, which is so frustrating. I read recently that Rockstar actually claims they will listen to user feedback for GTAO, since it is a living creation that they can update over time. So maybe the sitting enthusiasts can keep bugging Rockstar to add it. Given that they included f*cking yoga for some senseless reason, at least they could add a lotus position animation, so I can lotus-sit on a GTAV beach or mountaintop and serenely watch the GTAV day go by. I think it would work nice on the hood of the car also...just imagine calling a friend online for whatever and he is driving down to meet you and your character is just chilling by sitting (leaning against) the hood of the car...or sitting in a bench smoking or some sh*t...little things like this REALLY help the immersion! What's the point on being able to go into Michaels house and sit on the couch and smoke and drink wheat grass in the kitchen...not much huh? And there is a quick save option on the phone so what's the point in going into his house at all...oh yeah, because as "pointless" as it is, its still fun for role playing and immersion. Michael already sits down in a couple of his switchover clips, so the animation data is already in the game. I want to sit on a bus bench and wait for the bus in real time, like a real citizen. And let me look up bus schedules on my phone and see if the bus times match the website times. And if not, I want to storm Los Santos City Hall, pumping my fists in the air, demanding punctuality.
