Goodolboy21
Does anyone know if the snorkels found on some vehicles actually work?. I found a merry weather jeep that is snorkeled and want to try to take it up river to the Alamo sea but don't wanna lose it if its not going to work. cksiz
I kept that Merryweather Jeep in my garage for quite a while before I had the balls to take it out. I went way too deep. That's all I'll say. Artichoke
Goodolboy21
So I take it the car still shuts down when water comes over the hood?

Strengthcamp
I haven't test with my merry weather jeep, but I have added a snorkel to the dubsta and it shut off before reaching the snorkel.
Goodolboy21
That's what I figured... Well no deep water for the jeep...
Jozzborne
I haven't test with my merry weather jeep, but I have added a snorkel to the dubsta and it shut off before reaching the snorkel. The Dubsta is so dirty. Reminds me of the Mercedes G-Class SUV's.
ColbyToTheT
I also have the Merryweather Jeep with the snorkel, and I found that the snorkel really didn't help, as water only got past the hood and the engine shut down. So non functioning snorkels.
Goodolboy21
Yeah I went for it anyway got 3/4 of the way up and sunk it....
T24
That's a shame that they have snorkels but they don't actually work. The idea is great, but a lot of the off-road vehicles also seem to be a'bit "underpowered" if you ask me. Like for climbing hills, etc. 2Chains4Bracelets
CrazyRay
Do they actually not work or do you just not know how to use them... There's only two ways water can shut down an engine; through the air intake or through entering the exhaust system IRL, if you are in deep water and "snorkeling", you're not supposed to let off of the gas LucasMHD
tekks_2jz_sr5
With any car as long as you keep momentum and it a quick dunk it'll survive I've skipped a mini through the river by the altruist camp multiple times
XJpostman
The snorkels are just for looks. You can have the water just over the wheels of the sandking and it dies (no snorkel yes but the air intake should be just below the hood ffs). My MW mesa died in a little pond too. Soooo disappointed at that. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qNl-kusLBCo&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DqNl-kusLBCo Like come on!
