Why would they release information, advertise and spend all that money for something that is free?? Second: Because if they came out with a solid release time then the server would be flooded all at once. Wouldn't be surprised if they release ONE patch for the game and abondon it since they got more then what they paid to make the game times a few. I thought you sold the game because you are so disappointed with it.. This. And I'd expect no official time is because of the fact it's probably not under their control. If Sony rings up 30 minutes before and goes 'oh hang on, problem, be another hour' everyone ends up yelling at Rockstar for a late release. Having enough servers is in their control, but its impossible to predict how many you need really. Although alot purchased the game, many wont play online. This has been an age old problem amongst game companies, tech companies, and just about anyone with internet based servers. Xbox Live went down after the dashboard update. Apple went down after the iOS 7 update. Sim City went down after launch. i can keep going.. In a perfect world, they wont go down, but I can't really blame them if they do. Microtransactions are only for people who want to level up faster. I think what he's saying is, nobody got GTAO for free - we paid for it knowing it would be a part of it. A lot of dopey consumers think that they're getting the online game for free, when in reality it's part of the one product - if anything SP mode is like a bonus to GTAO in terms of content.
