What if it was on purpose?

Although this game is awesome. Obviously there are some issues.

- Lack of ability to make money.

- Short Story line

- Cars Disappearing

- No safe houses to buy

- Minimal Vehicle storage

- Difficulty getting the bad ass off road jeep outside of mission. You know this one

- Etc.

Maybe we all just had too high of expectations or maybe it was on purpose?

My theory is that the "issues" are so people don't bother with Single Player because online was meant to be that much better. Plus if people do stay online there is a better chance of people playing more, spending real money on DLC or other online goodies.

I am 50% kidding, 25% praying, and 25% serious.

What do you all think?

I think you do not appreciate a well-crafted singe player campaign and overall breathtaking game world and are complaining about such trivial things instead of stating what makes this game excellent. So to answer your question, yes I do think what they created was on purpose.

People are so touchy around here.:p I am just asking a question in anticipation of online.

I am not trying to bash the game. I love it and I think it is the best one yet. I am just saying that it seems like a decent amount was left out of what was expected for single player.

I agree with you some PMD. The campaign is nothing Red Dead's was. The story just isn't there. I'm sure DLC of some kind will make up for it. But, as it is, you are correct. GTA Online really is what GTA5 is all about. Fingerless gloves, for example. Something very easily implemented into campaign, but, reserved for online Only... AAAND allegedly only available via micro transaction. See what they did? "You want biker gloves? Online, only $3." Now imagine 100,000 people buy those, $300k in Rockstar pockets. The Online preview video said it best "Cash is king in GTA Online". Either way, I'm sure we'll have fun with it. It's all in the hands of the player to make it as fun for themselves as possible.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Uhh, the average reported time to finish the game has been 20 hours. I finished the game in 22 hours doing every Strangers & Freaks side missions on the way.

If that is short for anyone, then I don't know wtf kind of world that person lives in.

I have only played about 50% so far. I like the Missions especially the heists, but that is not my favorite part. Once the game is completed I love all the running is exploring all of the other stuff that can be done. Running around with a "crew" building up businesses, power, money and property sounds amazing. It gives more of a purpose to keep playing because you can always get better.
