Repair Vehicle With Cheat Code

Just to let everyone know you can use the Max Health & Armor cheat to repair your vehicle. But it can't be entered while in the vehicle. Read Below.

 

Steps (For 360 owners convert buttons):

1.) Stand next to vehicle you want to repair

2.) Press Cricle then L1, Wait for a second do not press anything else.(This is the start of the code)

3.) Then continue with the rest of the code (Triangle,R2,X,Square,Circle,Right,Square,L1,L1,L1)

4.) If done right you will get in the car while finishing the code and your car will be repaired after you have entered the entire code

 

Note - The reason for the short wait is to let your character finish the punching animation, If you type the code in too fast he punches and wont get in the vehicle when triangle is pressed. This also goes to show you do not need to enter the cheat codes in fast to get them to work as long as you don't press any other button outside of the combo.

Or you can just input the code and when you get to the Y part do it really fast and you wont get out of your car, easier to just pause though because it doesn't always work

How are people doing the health cheat while paused when they are already in the vehicle? Pressing the B takes you out of pause then the Y gets you out of the vehicle.

 

I found that when you go into pause, press the Y first to "Hide Menu" then as you enter the cheat, the B just backs out of the Hide Menu but remains in the pause state. Is this what people are already doing?

This cheat works the same in every GTA, I swear it never used the enter/exit vehicle button before though

Rockstar are assholes for putting a Y in this cheat. They knew we would want it to repair vehicles.

yes, this is what I do with every cheat with 1 B. 2Bs are Ok if there is a Y in between

maybe theres a different combination to the health/armor and invincibility cheat that doesn't use the triangle button?

i think this because two super jump cheats were found and both performed the same action. i responded to the guy who found the remaining cheats and i said:

 

 

Hey Voxaholix, i just found out that the super jump cheat i discovered before yours is different from the one you found through bruteforce. The strange thing is that both of the super jump cheats work? i just find it strange that rockstar made two ways to enable super jump. Does this mean there are other cheats that weren't included in the cheat controller file?

The one i found:
Left, Left, Triangle, Triangle, Right, Right, Left, Right, Square, R1, R2.

the one you found:
L2,L2, Square, Circle, Circle, L2, Square, Square, Left, Right, X.

as you can clearly see, they are really different. Each of them perform the same. Maybe Rockstar messed up and one of the cheats was suppose to be super bunny hop?

There are multiple cheat codes that can map to the same action. In the game script code, they don't actually check for the exact sequence of keys pressed. For example, instead of checking for the exact sequence of LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, they might check for LEFT+LEFT-RIGHTxRIGHT. So in this case, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, LEFT would work as a cheat too. The exact operators (+,-,x) are actually different and this is just an example.

Very interesting! Would love to find another vartion of Health/Armor to use in a vehicle.

You can enter this cheat without leaving you vehicle.

 

On XBOX I can confirm you can repair your vehicle WITHOUT LEAVING IT with the MAX HEALTH AND ARMOR CHEAT by the following means:

 

1.Pause the game

1.a (*optional*) press Y to get the menu off the screen.

 

2. Enter the cheat. For XBOX: B LB Y RT A X B Right X LB LB LB

 

3. Press pause again after you finish typing the cheat. (This is key, if you don't press pause right after you enter the cheat and just return to the game the cheat will not be entered.)

 

4. Profit from repaired vehicle...

 

If you enter the code the normal way not in the pause menu then you will exit the vehicle most of the time when entering the max heal and armor cheat.

Is this for online only, not story mode?
Maybe its a PC only thing, but all I have to do to repair a vehicle is switch protagonists and switch back and poof, vehicle magically repaired.
