Haven't played in 3 days. I beat the game 4 days ago.

I tried playing for 100%....nobody got time for that sh*t.

 

I tried killing cops....got 5 stars and wasted a few grand on an epic war...bored...

 

Well, that sums up my situation with GTA 5.

 

With Xbox1 coming soon, I'm trading in my 360, and GTA5 for Xbox 1 games, that being said, why didn't they release in Spring '13 like they advertised last Christmas in all the stores? I feel bad because I don't have the money to play GTA Online for more than a month and a half.

 

I'm pretty sure I can get it out of my system by then, but, considering how pathetic Single player is, I'm worried that online will be more of the same.

 

Anyway, Game was massively overrated and released at an awful time IMO. They acted like this was the best game ever made, all 10/10 reviews on every website. Wonder how much they were paid to give 10s out.

 

I wonder what the strategy was. It would have sold just as much in the spring. Their hype machine was incredible this time.

While I have no place to speak in what you do with your money or items, I really would suggest holding out on next gen, even more so if your selling your current gen for it.

 

It will be awhile before the REALLY good games come out, and even longer before this gen dies out. Plus if you wait for a good chunk of next gen games, the system price drops and you have even more time to save for it.

 

But as I said, your money, you choice.

 

Anyway, on topic, I'm sorry you feel that way about the game. I beat it about a week ago and I am still enjoying it greatly. I guess 100% and the free roam just isn't for everybody, but lets not resort to the childish attitude of (They must of paid them to get that score). Seriously, it just makes you look like a jerk.

Out of curiosity, were you in your teens or younger when you played the III era games? Age has a lot to do with enjoyment of things in general, video games particularly.

 

If you finished the game however it must have been somewhat enjoyable, I struggle to finish any game no matter how much I like it.

I enjoy GTAV it's fun, I've only done two main story missions so far though, but it's definitely not as bad as some believE. I don't enjoy it as much as previous titles, but that's mostly an age thing and the game still being victim of clunky mechanics, and having a near invisible reticle even when complex on certainly doesn't help, but other than the clunkiness, I love it.
