So heres the thing.... The missus enjoys playing GTA games, but for some reason has no interest (or ability) in doing missions or progressing for herself. So, i said i would copy across my current save file from my account on our PS3, over to hers, so that she could have the whole map open and a little bit of spending money. However, when i try to start the game from her account it comes up with "You didnt create this save" message, and starts from the beginning.

 

Is there a way around this?

Some games link the saves to the profile they were saved under. Not sure of a techy way round it, but a lazy way is to save in a 2nd slot under your profile and let her use that.

You can use Bruteforce save editor to copy the user id from your wife's save, then resign your own save with the new user id.

Dammit I was thinking about saving my data on a usb. I want to buy a second ps3 soon I case the old one I have dies and was hoping I could use the save data on my second system. I hope i can do that

You can, it just has to be put in with the same psn, if not you want to resign the save file to your new account.

There are save file links in these forums with 100% completion and other options. May be worth hitting the ol' search bar if you can find it. I'm on a cellphone so it isn't an option for me.
