gta3runscrapforme Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) I've had a look around this forum and others at 'top speed' sort of posts and feel something isn't right. People are posting top speeds of well over 200mph with something like the Adder yet when I try and match it I can't even get above 130mph. I don't think it's a problem with my driving, I take the car on the motorway and drive to what feels like top speed for a few minutes, not hitting anything. Also, my top speed ever was in a Banshee at around 187mph. I have no idea when I got this but it's now impossible to beat, even with cars that are supposedly much faster. ALSO, do the mods make a difference? I'm always testing with fully modded cars. I assume stuff like engine and turbo can only help, but thinks like body work, armour, brakes, transmission etc... Will these heavier items actually slow the car? ALSO, people always say they could go faster as Franklin, even if the other character's driving skill is 100. Does he actually drive faster or is it just easier with his special ability to drive longer without a crash. tldr; cant go fast, try stock car? Not sure how I could get it faster so something must be going on. gta3runscrapforme Posted September 27, 2013 Author Share Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) RIGHT, somethings definitely going on here. Just got 211mph with Franklin in the Adder. After driving round the entire map at full speed it still didn't top 130. Got back to the city and drove down a busy street and got the 211 straight away without even trying. So I guess it's something to do with speed cameras or traps they only have in certain places.
