bloodXguts Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 I absolutely love this game, but the biggest glaring problem to me here is the police searching. They always know my exact pinpoint location, and even when they are turning around searching my last known location, it just feels like they are playing stupid to waste my time because they know one of their brothers is going to spawn right on top of me to restart the never ending waiting fest. All Pineapple Express jokes aside, it feels like the authorities have permanently triangulated my cell phone's location. Try this- commit a crime on a bridge or overpass and then jump down and stand under the bridge in the general area that you committed the crime. If you watch the minimap you'll see the cops come and will literally go directly towards your marker and be searching the exact spot you are standing- just above you! This also explains why the police apparently have been preemptively hiding in bushes and jump out to catch me, while I'm thinking I am committing the perfect crime by shooting a stranger out in BFE with a silenced pistol! Be thankful the Wanted System is smart enough now that its not a complete waste of your time. In the old days of GTA Vice City theyd spawn next to you or literally be ontop of you in a split second. Aside from the Mount Chiliad issue which Im under the assumption is a bug. They give you more then enough time to get the f*ck out of the area and make a good run for it. sultangris Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 They seem to stay on the road if thats the last place they saw you. if you lose them and the search cones come out go off road out of cone range and they will never find you, unless the chopper is after you. They also always spawn in front of you when you are driving, so keep an eye out so you dont catch up to the one that just spawned right in front of you and keep moving and turning and they will never find you on the road either. The do know exactly where you are and head right for you, cheating bastards, so you just have to keep moving or go off road, its super easy to get away from them unless you are stuck somewhere with walls to high to climb and only one road, then you are boned son! lol! Especially the helicopter, you shoot it down and a new one pops out of thin air and starts shooting you before you even get done reloading your rocket launcher! but they are super easy to escape from once you know how they operate. Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) There's a lot of talk in the game about cell phones and characters being monitored, and cell phones technically can be used as gunshot detectors... but the omnipresence sucks In one of the first missions franklin throws lamars phone out the window. Why can't he/we ditch our phone? I hated the phone in GTA4 and I hate it more in this one. I don't want to use them in real life, I sure as f*ck didn't want to be forced to use them and a boring stock market in a videogame Edited September 27, 2013 by bicycles? But I have to agree, it's annoying to get one star because you just shot some random dude in the wood with noone around.
