frankieotown8
Whenever, and I mean WHENEVER I score a direct kill, Rockstar saw fit to make my screen flash somewhat (glow white) to let me know that, He's dead Jim. This is great, if I was 12. And couldn't, ya know, figure out that something that doesn't move is surely dead. Thank you Rockstar. Now, HOW do I turn it off? I seriously would like it off. I play with free aim to let you know a bit about my playstyle. I'm sure many do too. Please, no insult, or lectures about seizures and how it isnt the game for me. I just want this off, it wasn't in GTA 4 and I don't know why this is seen as a "feature". I cant seem to find official forums either... so I guess I'm screwed in that capacity. Unless these are them. Unrelated, I can't seem to find pool table games? (Billards), its still in right? frankieotown8
1. You can't turn it off 2. There's no pool table games Send all complaints to [email protected] Well, I either did something to my T.V. or I'm simply imagining it but the flashing color now has a slight bluish tint to it, which helps over just pure white. And Oh no you can't be serious. Oh man, someone told me it was going to have online pool VS matches.... /heavysigh
GTASuspectOnFoot
Yeah, Rockstar tried to reinvent the wheel when it comes to the "x" death indicator and the entire screen changing after every kill... At the very least it should be optional. There are multiple radar options, aiming options, control schemes, vehicle viewpoints, notification options, etc...but EVERYONE needs to have training wheels death notifications! freedomworks96 and Hegelian8

GTASuspectOnFoot
It takes me out of the game. Why bother focusing on creating a life like city, guns, cars, etc. just to have a massive reminder "THIS IS JUST AN ARCADE GAME" every time you kill someone? Someone on their team decided to add it in. I'm sure it was a last minute design choice. Because the most GTA ever did to show you what you were hitting was a red arrow over your targets head. I'm unsure who decided it was the right thing to add.... but it was poor choice. Hegelian8 and freedomworks96
GTASuspectOnFoot
Seriously, if it weren't for this feature, I would be playing the game right now...that's how annoying it is. The day of launch for GTA IV I wouldn't be caught dead doing anything but playing it. freedomworks96

GTASuspectOnFoot
Just because we didn't mention the weapon and radio wheel doesn't mean we are okay with those features... It's just that this thread focuses on the screen flash and x marker. freedomworks96
afk4ever
Is this really necessary? When designing the shooting mechanics, did Rockstar think to themselves, "Nah, forget hitmarkers. We should make the screen annoyingly flash every time you kill someone."? And please, NONE OF YOU reply with something to support this god awful mechanic. Just like you can turn off the blur effect in RDR. Yeah, there is only one problem. That option doesn't exist. I looked all over for it. Nothing. If there was a PC version, we wouldn't have this problem, nor would we have bad framerate, horrible controls, or bland graphics. freedomworks96

He's gonna kill us all. and do you expect hitmarkers on a crosshair that small? this isnt cawl a doody. The flash is VERY helpful. Specially since they have that mechanic from GTA IV where a full round of ammo sometimes doesnt kill someone and they just lay on the floor for a few seconds pretending to be dead lizardman563 and Kreuzn

Kreuzn
I love how you tell people not to disagree with you lmao. But I'm going to disagree with you. It is pretty subtle, it's not like it's some obnoxious thing like you're making it out to be. Plus it's nice that you can always be certain that you killed the person you were just shooting, not that they just fell down for a moment. Plus hit markers can be easily overlooked in heated situations. I love that screen flash. SwingingSpidey, stevean2 and lizardman563

Just another thing they did to make this game NOOB FRIENDLY. "everything is made to be fun and responsive"! = dumbed down and noob friendly. Now you can never be worried to look away too soon cause that guy might get back up - easy mode. The X was more than enough. And that god forsaken "die and auto respawn" sh*t is stupid, too. How the f*ck you going to desaturate the screen and fade out and I haven't even SEEN the body hit the ground yet? Same bullsh*t in IV. dedlee and freedomworks96
