Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) The amount of time and money (and cross-media hype) that went into this game, plus the fact that rockstar sponsored an actual bmx company, Kink Bikes, for years... I can't believe the controls are still so sh*tty. Can't even do 180s and roll backwards, let alone actual tricks. When you crash you fall further/faster than you would have gone if you'd jumped. When you bunnyhop it's this wierd floating... Not realistic at all. And then they force "realism" on you by killing you after one hard crash, or 3-4 normal ones. The bike shop menu says the bmx can do double pegs, but all I've seen/done so far is some uncontrollable side-scrapes. Do you earn grinds when you max out your skill, or are those seriously it? You have to mash X to keep moving, and when you stop to prepare for a jump you slow way down... Yet you can just hold left trigger to reverse? Reverse and front brake are the same button, so as soon as your nosewheelies/stoppies start dropping down you start reversing. The controls are flat out retarded. Sometimes the 360s look good though, but I never would've paid for the game if I knew they weren't going to be updating/improving the controls at all. I bought this game specifically for the bikes, and they're garbage, and there's no logical reason for it aside from forcing people online to upgrade... Edited September 27, 2013 by bicycles? If you don't nail a landing after hopping off a high altitude it should kill you, but tell me why Franklin got killed after falling off a skate ramp not any taller than 10 ft. I don't know/don't think you can customize bikes, can you? it's part of the description of the bmx bike, in the bikeshop on the "internet" part of the cellphone, that you can purchase things from, but only if you've already purchased a garage first for it to be sent to...
